How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Good central location, just a ten minute walk to old town. lovely spacious apartment with balcony. Basic supplies tea/coffee in apartment.

We liked everything, although we did get some people in the room next to us who liked to move furniture and seemed to shout not talk....so they were a bit loud...but not late so didn't spoil our stay.
Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded to a larger room which was very comfortable, and was well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The location was fantastic a short stroll from Russafa and central park, but still only a 15/20 min walk to Old town. We will definitely stay again when in Valencia.

It is in a major street and the street noise at night was very loud.

Quite expensive for the space that the studio offered but I guess these are the prices for Valencia if you want something close to the center.

Noisy when balcony doors were open. Needed a bigger apartment with dishwasher and washing machine for five nights.
Lovely apartment, well located near the historical centre and Joaquin Sorolla station. Staff are great!

The first thing was the receptionist…. She was friendly, helpful and just could do enough to ensure our comfort. The room was extremely clean and very spacious and comfortable. We were walking distance to the historic centre and I mean walking with 4and 6 year old kids

Our room (204) was dreadfully, dreadfully dark. We ended up going into the bathroom to be able to read . A room lamp or two would go a long way. The hanger on the right..... poorly designed. Too close to wall for hangers to place correctly. Other than that, a really wonderful visit. Thank you.
Magnificent. Location is spot-on and the staff are exceptional.

Could have had more cooking facilities eg dinner plates, perhaps an air fryer.
Staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and informative. Good apartment with comfy bed and easy walk to the tourist areas and local facilities.

Lighting in the room was very dim.
We loved our four nights at Soho Valencia. The reception staff were so friendly and obliging. Great location close to everything. Parking was available nearby on calle Cuba. Having bikes for hire was also a bonus

Staff were excellent there and before we arrived. Communication was excellent leading up to our stay. Lots of valuable information and recommendations for places to visit and eat.We asked for Paella recommendations and they booked us a restaurant for lunch they recommended which was amazing! On a busy road but don't let that phase you to stay here as with windows shut we couldn't hear anything. Special shout out to Irene. So helpful and positive.

Great hotel very close the Valencia Nord train station. Very comfortable room and friendly reception staff. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Great value for money.

It is situated on an extremely busy road, thus noisy BUT if you keep the doors shut at night they are very effective at sound proofing. There is air conditioning in the rooms if needed. Lighting in room was a bit of an issue , IMO could be improved. And, another mirror would be nice. The only useable one is in the bathroom.
Exceptionally clean. Piping hot water in shower. Helpful and friendly reception staff. Walkable to many attractions, but also buses and an excellent metro/tram services easily accessible.
