the property is beautiful! An old monastery but with all the modern amenities you might need. The rooms are spacious, comfortable bedding and bathroom is amazing. Location is privileged as is very centrally located to visit all the surrounding wineries and towns but it is very private and secluded. it was our second time staying here and just counting the days for a third time!

Beautiful setting in a well preserved monastery. the hotel is also well located if you are visiting the wine area, as you are close to Valladolid and Peñafiel, with quick access to many domaines. very comfy room and excellent breakfast with variety and quality. Friendly and helpful staff Good gym

Restaurant staff unfriendly and some actually rude. Unbelievable for that kind of hotel and the 5 star rating. Ratty towels and bathrobes, again not 5 starrish.

Exceptional building beautifully maintained by the foundation las Edades del Hombre, who own the building. The hotel operation is a separate matter Breakfast is very good. Some staff are helpful and friendly. Great spa.

Luxury hotel, amazing staff the customer service was very good, great facilities, nice pool and the bottled water is a nice touch. The food and drinks are high quality and eating dinner outside in the courtyard feels very relaxing.

The spa seemed to have forgotten my treatment and I got delayed, which also delayed my lunch plans after. But the massage given was wonderful so alright in the end.

Amazing property with spectacular design and friendly staff who is always there for you if you need anything. Rich breakfast, culinary experiences in the restaurants and large and stylish rooms. The thermal experience with the different pools was great as well as the outdoor pool and relaxation beds. A place to really disconnect in a beautiful setting!

The restaurant food is overrated, was there two nights and both nights were not great. Severely undercooked steak.. Two weddings in two days, some areas fully occupied by wedding guests.

FROM THE TIME WE CAME IN ALEX AND MOHAMMED WERE SO HELPFUL, WE HAD A LOT OF WEDDING FAVORS, BAGS, ETC AND THE HELP GET THINGS ORGANIZED. ALSO IRENE, WEDDING COORDINATOR WAS AMAZING

I am not a fan of negative reviews, but It just does no meet the standards of a 5 star Hotel. Maybe on paper it ticks all the boxes but the five star experience was missing. Staff were ok, but not particularly friendly- Upon arrival you are told to book everythin in advance, timeslots for everything- no room for spontaneity. you have to book 2 hour slots for the spa before you even have seen the faciliites, wine tasting? only this and this hour.... but you need to book now in order to get a slot , etc etc... - unfortunately it makes the hotel feel like an all inclusive hotel. definately not a luxuary experience. . also have to add that the restaurant was not very good. was our worst dinner we had in the whole region.

Beautiful Building, great location for wine tasting etc. Very nice that upon arrival you are served a glass of bubbly or wine. aslo exptremely nice detail is the bottle of wine as a gift in the room. The room was very nice and big. very comforatble bed. Fantastic breakfast

Because we were traveling with friends, we were definitely not looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind. We wanted to try gourmet food, drink wine and talk, but we found a very detox oriented experience which, in our opinion, wasn’t worth the splurge. We would have appreciated to know more about the experience before reserving, as we felt we weren’t matched correctly with the hotel, so we were not happy with the value for money.

The property is absolutely stunning, a wonderful mix between modern and historic. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and modern with lovely views. The amenities related to the spa looked great. If you are looking for a quiet getaway to relax and detox, this is your place.

1. the new hotel section could blend in the monastery portion. 2. the room A/C did not work as the hotel did not have the system turned on. Our room was to warm and stuffy to sleep well which seems poor management in a hotel that is about better health. 3. the room furnishings were a bit off. 4. the restaurant in the cave could be enchanting if decorated and furnished with style, it misses the mark as is.

The food of the restaurant (little options and poor quality of the dishes). My room had limited sunlight access. Hotel staff overall was nothing special.

Breakfast was amazing, the pool (balneario) was great as well as the spa treatment for 2. The Monastery is definitely worth visiting (the chapel is beautiful).
