How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bed is very small, only 120cm, hardly fit 2 persons. It wasn’t very comfortable at all for us. This is the only minus the accomodation had.
The location is awesome, full of bars and restaurants, close to the city center, only 20 minutes by foot to Royal Alcazar and Cathedral. The restaurant in front of the entrance is fine dining, delicious food. The room is quite small, equipped with everything necessary, all clean.

The area is nothing fancy / super pretty as others in Seville, but in saying so it’s a central location, feels safe and there’s lots of food options nearby
Overall comfortable bed and pillows, great shower and access to tea /coffee and a minibar. Location is good as it’s easy to walk to main attractions and easy to catch an Uber just outside if you need to

The bathroom facilities don’t offer much privacy. Fine for couples but awkward if you were with a friend.

We found the noise from the street quite loud and went on until 3am.
Great location with lots of bars and restaurants outside. Walking distance to all attractions. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly.

The plaza was quite noisy at night.
Ideal for a short break. The restaurant made our stay fabulous and extra special. Superb food and service.

Great location - to get to the cathedral it takes about 20/25 minute walk but this is through lots of cafes/restaurants etc along the way. It’s the same kind of distance to ‘triana’ district which is where you can watch authentic flamenco shows. There are also lots of bars and restaurants at your fingertips and on a weekend it was buzzing with locals all out on the streets drinking/eating and enjoying themselves Carrefour - about a 3 min walk from the hotel for water and basic supplies/milk for tea Room - soundproof and bed was super super comfy. Don’t normally sleep well abroad but I slept soo well! Amenities - shower was really strong and powerful and big too. small fridge and kettle/tea on offer. No milk but we just got some from carrefour and put it in our fridge There is also a rooftop but we didn’t use it. I guess this would be the place to unwind and relax within the hotel. If you are looking for ‘lounge areas’ this hotel doesn’t have it - but pretty obvious from the pics that it’s not that kind of hotel. We got an Uber back to the airport and it cost us around €18 from the property. All in all, a great place to explore Seville from

Great location on edge of old city and vibrant area at night time. Plenty of cafes outside for breakfast. The restaurant is definitely worth going to for an outstanding meal

Out of the five hotels my partner and I went to, this was our favorite! Excellent room service, reception staff was great, many restaurants next to the hotel, a small terrace, and an available iron (we really needed one)!

The hotel would have scored 10 if they served breakfast, the only thing missing for me
Everything was amazing including the seriously good in house restaurant El Disperate. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, with a special mention to Eva.

There was nothing I didn’t like about it!
A charming old property converted into a hotel with a fabulous roof terrace. We had a dual aspect room with interesting views on either side.
