Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWell, as we booked with breakfast included every morning, the breakfast was pretty nice and plentiful of choices. However, the organization of the kitchen staff was chaotic. Other guests including us had to stand in line, and wait for 20 mins to be seated, even tho there were some free tables. Some rude guests were taking free tables as if they could speak Spanish. The kitchen staff didn't always speak English. The elevator was pretty creaking when going up or down, and since we stayed on the 9th floor, we had to use it all the time but this is a small minus. The BIGGEST issue was that we did NOT have an electric kettle in the room, so we couldn't have hot tea (we traveled to Valencia in the winter when it was around 4-5 C at night). This kettle option is only provided to the premium room, but tbh this shouldn't be a problem to get a simple kettle in the room. Also, water bottle was not provided every day so thanks to the mall, we went there to buy some basic stuff. Ironically, the kettle can't be provided, but the hot press pants can be xD and it was not needed. Despite the broken bidet as I mentioned above, sometimes at night, when bathing we smelled the sewer from the bathtub drainage hole. I guess the air circulation unit doesn't work so well in the bathroom as well,
The hotel is located on the other side of the city center, but it's a walkable distance (approx. 20 mins walking). Plus, the mall El Corte Ingles is a few steps away so it's pretty convenient. In the beginning, we were only able to book the twin room, but later on, after calling the rep, we could reserve a double room for our trip. The receptionists are very nice, helpful guys. However, during our stay, the bidet was broken, and they offered to either fix or change the room. We got it fixed instead of changing it after 2-3 days stay. The room was cleaned every day so we had fresh towels and clean bed sheets provided.

PolandThe hotel has a slightly dated look but the only thing that really bothered me was the very thin walls between the rooms and you could hear the neighbours if they weren't even noisy. You could hear the noise from the corridor and creaking doors as guests returned to their rooms.
Very friendly staff, clean and tidily maintained rooms. Large and spacious rooms. Delicious and very varied breakfast. Very good location, close to buses and metro. You can walk to the center and visit the main sights. Direct bus to the Oceanarium. For runners, next to the hotel is the beautiful Turia Park where I ran several times during our stay. During our holiday, our daughter had a birthday and received a nice wish, a cake with a candle and a mug from the hotel staff. She was very happy, I think it was a nice gesture from the hotel.

PolandJust none :)
This hotel definitely exceed our expectations, We stayed there in January for 5 nights and never get bored :) Metro line is quite close, also you can have a nice walk through Turia Gardens, which are just in front of the hotel, to reach main city attractions. Breakfast is fabulous, you can also have dinner in the hotel.

IndiaSmall things like a kettle, water bottles on daily basis, etc should be provided, without which the look and feel of a hotel is not completed. The spread of the breakfast should be increased to provide hot food options for Vegetarians.
The rooms were good, clean and reasonable sized. The bus stand taxi stand and the utility stores are nearby and extremely convenient to travel to places

United KingdomWi-Fi connection kept dropping. Rooms a little tired in decor. For a four star, disappointed there were no English tv channels. No fridge (but a trouser press!), didn’t need email saying there was 8pm check in (with 24 hour reception) or they would cancel booking unless payment made by link when I’d already paid. Toiletries not great but adequate.
Large room in a good location near bus station. Excellent breakfast.

GermanyIt can be barely recognized as a 4-star hotel. The building is rather old with extremely thin walls. No effective sound isolation. Old, small and clumsy elevators. A bit far away from the tourist attractions. Located in a rather poor area.
Very friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet, clean room, hotel is next to a shopping center with a good supermarket, also close to the intercity bus terminal with a very good taxi service.

EgyptSlippers were not available and they would have been really nice since the floor was quite cold. The room was a bit old style and basic, however very clean so that was not an issue. The kitchen is closed from 3:30pm to 8pm which was a shame because the restaurants nearby can't compare in terms of food quality.
Very nice helpful staff . Clean and quiet hotel with excellent food- the beef was amazing. Very good location as well .
