The only thing, really, is that wifi in my room was not strong enough. Wasn't an issue for me as I could use my phone for those few hours that I was there, but for people from abroad it might be more problematic.

Very nice and hospitable place, the rooms are big and clean, very good value for money. Excellent location, it doesn't get much more central in Alcalá. The hosts are always responsive and take very good care of their customers.

Exceptional location! In the middle of town, everything at your reach. Lovely little historical place. Clean and comfortable. Owners very helpful and always available for your needs. Our room was just a little dark, not a direct window to the outside.

There was some noise and communication between the rooms after 11pm. There was no window or extractor fan in our bathroom so mould is building up.

An excellent location. The guesthouse was clean and you could come and go as you wanted. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast, but you could use a communal kitchen to prepare something simple for yourself. Free tea and coffee provided in the kitchen. One has to take into account that this is a guest house, not a hotel, and judge it accordingly. It is also a very ancient house (a piece of the history of Alcala itself) so it has some of the problems that old houses have in terms of condensation, steep stairs etc.

There is only one common toilet on each floor which can be a problem.

The location was right in the centre of Alcalá de Henares. Good connectivity to Madrid City centre by bus and train ( takes about an hour from here to the centre). The staff is unbelievably courteous and helpful. Can't thank them enough. Lots of restaurants und supermarkets nearby. Safe location. Can be a bit noisy at times but didn't bother me personally. The property is good and decently spacious.

If you are tall, try not to get a room on the top floor. My head has some bumps from the low angle ceiling :)

Amazing location, especially if you do not need to park a car (it can be a little tricky to park close to the hotel). Wonderful staff that did so many favors for us. Perfect location in the center of town right across from the Cervantes Museum and so many eateries. Alcalá de Henares has so much more to do than we thought! Not just an airport layover, but worth two nights. Great stay overall.

terribly noisy location…restaurants party and music all night long then street cleaners in turn morning. keys very difficult to work with at times simply didn’t work…and we needed three different keys to access our room.

The location is perfect, and the price is unbelievably reasonable. The bathroom and bedding were both spotless and new. You can really notice the effort they put in the hotel. The owner was also extremely friendly. I wished my Spanish was not so poor. It would have been fun to hear more about the house. The private roof terrace on my room was a very welcome added touch! Defintely will be back next time I am in Alcala!

The location is directly in the center of Alcala, right infront of the Cervantes Museum, and close to all the other nice sights in Alcala, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The owners were super friendly and very helpful. The room was very comfortable and nice. We would definitely recommend that you stay there when you are in Alcala.

Being so close to Cervantes pays off for the light noise that you can hear sometime from the street in the evening.

I like the feel of the place, right in the very centre of the city looking at Cervantes birth house, on the very central street in Alcala de Henares. Ivan is here happy to help any moment. Despite our different languages, his - Spanish, mine - English, we could understand each other quite well. A typical Spanish design makes a part of the experience. You literally feel that the host wants to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable.

Bad smell in room, noise from washing machines under the window, view was of a wall , no head room kept banging head, either too hot or too cold in the room, no ability to set times, false advertising was not what was expecting from photos, was like climbing Everest to get to the room , parking was a distance away , hard too locate

Too narrow and steep staircase, be sure you are fit when moving up baggage to your room. I have experienced similar stairs in other older buildings in Spain though.

When I arrived there was nobody to check in, even though I had sent them my arrival time which they confirmed. There were to telephone numbers on the door but it took at least 15 minutes before somebody picked up the phone. After that I had to wait 15 minutes more outside before somebody finally arrived.
