No major complaints! Only minor ones: The room keys seemed to be de-activated daily and we had to go to the front desk to re-activate (we did not store them near our phones or other magnets). Because one needs a key inserted in the slot in the room, we were unable to leave devices charging when we were out. We would have loved washcloths, not just towels (an American thing?). But one of these was a big deal. Overall our stay was excellent and we would absolutely stay here again!

This was a lovely, well-maintained hotel and met our needs perfectly! We traveled as a family of three. No need to pay for their breakfast -- it was easy to walk to a cafe for a croissant or pastry in the mornings. Perfect location in walking distance to everything, including the monastery in San Lorenzo.

Location was perfect for the monastery and close to the restaurants. Luckily we found a parking space just down from the hotel. Note - the sauna (and pool) don’t open until June, Bit misleading on Booking.com

The rooms were screaming of updates. The hotel was lovely but the rooms look like they have been stacked in the 80s. What we didn't like the most is the absence of a kettle to make tea/coffee. Doesn't really reflect a 4 star hotel.

The rooms and commons areas would need some refurbishment. I have expected the interior to be nicer. Only the breakfast place met my expectations. There is no consierge service, you can only leave your luggage in unattended storage room.

The perfect location very close to El Escorial Monastery and the bus station. Just 5 mins walk. The railway station 30 mins. I had very nice walk to the town center with nice restaurants and bars. It was really worth to pay for the hotel breakfast - nice place, variety of food offered and very nice view of the garden.

Fix the bathroom sink drains as the tapaderas estaban rotas.

Close to El Escorial restaurants, bars etc. Loved the corner room with awesome views. Great big comfortable bed. Hot powerful shower. Nice reception staff.

- Noise isolation might be a minus if your next door neighbours are loud. - I missed a trash bin in the room, besides the small one in the bathroom.

+ I enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere, clean room and nice view from my window. + I received a king size bed as requested. I appreciate my needs being met. + The amenities on offer were great. + The staff was very friendly and helpful. The team does not hesitate to assist you in any way. + Location is impeccable. + The design and building is in perfect conditions and very well maintained. + Front office is 24 hours. I arrived around 10:30 PM and it was great to know that I won’t have problems to check in. + The check out is fast and easy. You even get messages to automate your departure.

Lovely old hotel in a good location close to the monastery, we have a very relaxing stay after a long journey. We were upgraded to a large suite with loads of room and lovely views from the balconies.

First, not sure if the rooms are cleaned well. I found clumps of hair in the blanket in the cupboard, cobwebs around the ceiling, mould in the bathroom and dust on several surfaces. Second, the standard rooms have no soundproofing at all. You can hear people talking, switches being turned on and noises from the adjacent bathrooms. Luckily the staff helped me get a quieter room otherwise it was impossible to sleep on the first night. Quiet overpriced due to not much competition in the area and not a 4 star standard considering these negatives

Well located from the monastery and the Euroforum. The staff are the best part of the place and were very kind and helpful with every single request. The top floors have a great view.

Nothing, everything was up to expectation and beyond. the place was nice and with personality, the breakfast was very good. the room was nice, super clean and quite. the surroundings as mentioned are just amazing. use the opportunity to walk around!

The staff was very friendly and helpful - they made a huge difference! the location was outstanding, with a few meters from the Escorial, with all the beauty and excellence of the whole town. A good place to stay for visiting and relaxing.

Exceptional location almost next door to the monastery royal palace and basilica complex. Bus station one minute walk Warm welcome from receptionist. Lucky to be given room with terrace and seating on fourth floor with magnificent wide views over the plains. Room spacious and felt luxurious. Well appointed. Super clean. Super comfortable. Lighting good. Wifi good For me the price was little high for a week night but I would highly recommend and definitely stay here again
