How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location for the 1st 70.3 Ironman event in Valencia. Spacious apartment and hotel even provided a picnic pack for breakfast as it was an early start.

As stated above.
While the bathroom is tired, it was clean and had plenty of hot water, towels and toiletries. Room large with comfy bed & a little fridge. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff very friendly. Convenient parking. Would certainly stay there again. Special mention for French/Spanish front desk young man. Was very kind with parking instructions and check in.

The price was a bit too high for the location, as it was far from the center and also far from a metro station. This area is extremely dead on Sundays, no supermarkets. Ok if you like very long walks. The other thing I didn't like was that the room was very small, there is not much walking inside the room as the bed takes up the entire room. The breakfast was very limited, no eggs or anything warm to eat. The machine coffee was horrible. The dining room which they call "restaurant" was extremely tiny and the breakfast staff had to send some guests away telling them they'd have to come down again later as all tables were currently occupied.
I liked the shower with bathtub with strong water flow from the shower head. I liked that the room has a minibar. The hotel was not noisy, I could sleep well at night.

The beds were too soft for us and squeeked every time we moved. That was a little uncomfortable. Still very good place for reasonable price.
The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the historical centre and also to the city of Arts and Science. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was excelent.

The room is overdue a makeover, very dated.
Easy check in from 3pm. Good WIFI. Staff were okay and the breakfast team made sure the items were topped up from 07.30 - 10.30. The location is close to the park, it took me about 12 minutes to walk from the Metro and 30 minute train from the Airport, great connections.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Pillows were a bit flat but the staff kindly gave us extra.
We loved the great location between the city and the beaches. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was lovely,plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Food items were replinished as needed.

The staff were always happy to help. The room had lots of space, bath and shower. The breakfast options looked good although we didn't have them. A bus stop right outside with only a 10 minute ride to the main city.

The listing said they had parking but their garage only had three spaces. So be aware that you need to park 2.5 blocks away at a parking garage for 23.20 Euros per day (full 24 hours). It’s a 40 walk to the touristy old town part.
Very nice, comfortable, clean, quiet, modest price, great staff.

There was no kettle ,tea coffee facilities in the room, tea coffee available only in the breakfast area, So had to buy a kettle from local store to put in bedroom.
Situated between the old town and the beautiful beach, very close to city of arts and science, close to supermarkets . Staff were very friendly.
