How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The tiniest of niggles - you have to put your head under the shower to reach the shower gel - maybe a better position could be found. Otherwise I can't think of anything.
Quiet spacious room, lovely roof restaurant bar and a good breakfast with eggs cooked to order. All the staff were helpful and enthusiastic. The view from the outside balcony of the bar is stunning and the location could not be more central. I received a bottle of fizz and a tasty little chocolate cake for my birthday - as well as one with the staff singing Happy Birthday on my birthday morning.

Best hotel in Malaga. Couldn’t be any more central of a location, so perfect. Staff were all extremely professional and caring, especially the one who checked us in. Amazing rooms, so clean and modern and comfortable. Great terrace bar/restaurant at the top of the building too with an amazing view. Everything was just amazing!

Excellent hotel in the very center of Malaga, nearby restaurants, shopping street, museums. A very rich breakfast selection. It was my husband's birthday during the stay... he received champagne and a cake as a surprise gift. We felt welcomed and cared for. Thanks to all the hotel staff!

The toilet seat is somewhat strange. It has millions of commands but it is difficult to properly seat, even if you are a normal size person. Unclear what is free of charge and what to pay within the room, some goods were on the table, not clearly marked as “for purchase”, this doesn’t impact the experience, just a little message would’ve helped
Super friendly staff, great position. Continental breakfast in line with same type of hotels.

The hotel was immaculate and well-appointed. The rooms were comfortable, and beds were very good. The staff was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The team who managed the breakfast service was exceptional, attentive and very much guest-oriented. The breakfast buffet was superb. We couldn’t have asked for more in a hotel. And the location was perfectly situated, in walking distance of everything.

Nothing. I was very pleased with everything.
Location was great - right on the main Malaga drag. Super comfortable and quiet room despite busy location. Breakfast was also very good and hosted on the 6th floor rooftop with great views of the cathedral.

The extra charge to update your room to have a better view of cathedral, we thought was excessive but still a lovely break

the Tea Bags in the room - need to provide proper English tea please
did not book breakfast, wish i had! Good food and wine at lunch and evening meals. Excellent service and friendly staff. Reception very welcoming - especially Nuria always went the extra mile.

Nothing really
Breakfast was very good, but it could get crowded at peak times due to room size. The staff were excellent. Due to Christmas celebrations, the city was packed and restaurants full to overflowing, but the staff got us a booking in a very good restaurant. They also escorted us to our airport taxi as it was impossible for it to get to the hotel as the streets were impassable with people.

High quality breakfast with variety of choice, beautiful view from the roof during meals, comfort and pleasant service. Convenient location - in the very Center of the city. Perfect sound isolation from the street (we lived on the 5th floor with balcony to the main street).

There was a noise like a fan or something mechanical all night which was intrusive.
The location was fantastic. The balcony was great we watched ghr light show on the street beliw. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were all really helpful and nice.

The location was perfect. If you want to explore not only Malaga the location is ideal, the hotel is located on one of the main streets in the city center with a lot of shops. 50m from the bust stop where you can take a bus 'A' to the airport. 50m from the Underground station (2 stops) will take you to the main railway station or bus station. The staff (reception, restaurant, cleaning staff) were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were delicious with a breathtaking view overseeing the Cathedral.

I wish there were at least two luggage racks in the room to place the suitcases, more hangers and hooks to hang clothes and towel bars or racks to place the towels, so they do not end on the floor.
The bedroom was beautifully decorated, bed was comfortable, internet speed was good, room was very quiet, and overall the facilities were very nice and comfortable. Location was excellent!

The matras could be softer but I had no problem sleeping
