We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Beautiful hotel and the rooms were spacious, clean and modern. We used the spa which was relaxing after a long day. the best part was the front desk lady (a British/Spanish/ Portuguese lady) who was super patient and kind and helpful despite all our questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Vistalegre Spa Hotel is very nice and modern, small, family hotel, very clean and comfortables rooms with balcony, central located with beautiful view, with sauna, spa and jacuzzi. They have perfect express loundry service, in couples of hours. For spa and sauna users you got mantels and slippers and everything you need. One of the best hotels on Camino way from Saint Jean in France to beautiful Galicia. Very friendly and kind ladies, Silvia and Mrs. Lorenzo, at the reception are for all questions very helpful and cordial. They make my stay in Portomarin unforgetable. Thank you Silvia and Mrs Lorenzo. Thank you all. I will come again.

United Kingdomone staff member was very standoffish (more below). Bar closed early (10:30 instead 11pm). Price WAY too high for what it is/ offers- priced THE SAME as the lovely four star at plaza mayor in Leon, which was WORLDS apart from this hotel in terms of amenities/ room size/ staff. Bathroom looks lovely, but major water pressure issues/ water never got proper warm) standoffish: Tipped EUR 15 as I checked in (my SOP, I like attentive service). was informed I had to register precise time of breakfast. Didn't. Decided next morning to have breakfast after all. Was dressed down for not following protocol, that protocol was in place because not much room (there was a WHOLE empty table... right in front of them... unbelievable) told I had to "ask permission" from a group of US travellers to sit with them and then report back, or no breakfast. Of course the US group was fine- had a lovely chat with a couple from Ohio. On checkout I took a member of staff aside and respectfully voiced my dissatisfaction with some minor room issues (price given it WASN'T a suite but advertised as such, water pressure) and the absurd breakfast behaviour/ lecture. I indicated I did not generally write negative reviews, preferring to address problems directly. I pointed out the generous initial tip (EUR 15), and suggested they comp me the two drinks I had had the previous night, and we would part amicably and in mutual silence.. I was interrupted several times while trying to make this point, accused of being "disrespectful" for not ordering breakfast the day before, and then had to hear: "So basically you're threatening to write a malicious review to get out from your drinks bill!" (that was VERBATIM). And in response, let me say here: "No Mam, I offered to part in peace.
very nice rooms (had the junior suite- tbh more of a "Deluxe" room, but balcony was great, great bed) Location is very central. Breakfast at EUR 5 IS L is great value for money.

United KingdomWhen we arrived we were not allowed to pay for our spa visit. As soon as we entered our room we got a call to say the spa wasn’t working (3 minutes later). Air conditioning didn’t work unless controlled by the front desk (this went off after 20 mins). The receptionist told us she would call before she left at 11pm to ensure our air con was up & running properly for the warm night ahead, but unfortunately she didn’t follow though. We had an awful night with no air con. We were then woken at 3am with our lights flashing on & off in the room…no understanding why! This was our splurge along the Camino, & it was unfortunately our most expensive & our worst accommodation.

DenmarkWe had a room below street level, so people outside had a great view to the bed! The street light was like a projector all night and only light curtains. I did not get any sleep at all. The bar only open when the poor (single) staff was not checking in people or busy doing the laundry or getting bathrobes. So definately a under-straffed place!

United Kingdomroom 1 was next to reception and the walls were very thin so the noise of just two people talking felt as if they were In the room with us. the hot water had run out at 18:00 and again in the morning at 07:00 and then they couldn’t accommodate us with a coffee in the morning? manager eventually stepped in a got us a table with free coffee and toast

United StatesI booked the room with mountain and river views and when I got there they gave me one on the ground floor with view to the back entrance. I went back to the front desk to let them know about the mistake and they told me that the room I booked was not available. They did gave me another one on the third fl but just with a view to the back. Not worth the price I paid! I even cancelled my other booking (that was way cheaper than this one) only for the view… definitely not worth it.

SpainThe staff at the front desk was really stressful and snarky - both to me and to others she was dealing with in person and on the phone - and it made the whole experience pretty uncomfortable...rolling her eyes and making faces - it was weird.. The room was definitely not worth the extra money, and the water pressure was really poor in the shower - my least favorite shower during the whole Camino Frances and one of my least favorite/comfortable stays - and the most expensive...If it were priced like the pensiones I may not have been as annoyed but being that it was the most expensive and least pleasant I felt it was a waste. The bed was very comfy, the wifi was solid, the view was beautiful, but the ambience/feeling was awful. I couldnt wait to leave - not the warm & cozy welcome most camino stays have - the night before at half the price in Sarria at the Casona de Sarria was a thousand times better because the the comfort was the same but the staff were so much more personable and friendly and warm. I found it super duper odd. save your $$ and stay at a pension or a moderately priced hotel...not worth it
