How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

- we were immediately welcomed by a very likeable man at the reception who walked us through the rooms, he was very cheerful and obviously extremely thankful for having us there - he showed us a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, a coffee machine, napkins and so much more, he pointed out a free-to-take fruit basket and a basket with cupkaces and cakes, also toasts/bread and food in the fridge - we were right next to the kitchen and a dining room, but it was not noisy nor have we met any other visitors - we had an inviting spacious room with very comfortable beds, extra blankets, modern looking - the whole hotel showed a great taste of design, it was clean and more than sufficient in terms of facilities - the room had its own bathroom, also very clean - the grocery shop was just one step away from the hotel

It was pitty to left the place, I could stay there longer if I had time.
The host gave us a warm welcome, It was super that we could use the kitchen to make our own dinner. Supermarket beside the hostel. Very nice place to stay, great garden, wonderfull gardenchairs. Wonderfull design in the house.

This is one of the best places we’ve stayed at on the Camino: so clean, new, thoughtfully laid out, great price. Daniel went above and beyond to help me print out something unrelated to my stay there. Must also mention the coffee machine which grinds beans fresh for every cup, the refrigerator and the supplies for breakfast. Oh, and a drying rack and newspaper for very wet hiking boots. Perfection!

Not much I didn't like
The owner, Daniel, a "one man show" was fantastic from check in to check out. The facility was very clean and everything was in working order. The kitchen was amazing and I was able to cook dinner very easily with all the facilities within the kitchen. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful new hostel with big bright rooms. the shared kitchen was big, clean and had everything we needed for cooking. our host was friendly and generous. Great place to stay right on the Camino.

Rooms were clean & modern & had everything a pilgrim could want to recover from a hard day’s walk. The room was better than any hotel. The owner went above & beyond expectations to make sure I was comfortable—he even volunteered to drive my backpack to my next night’s accommodation because of my injured leg

Stunning quality rooms and shared areas. It was better than any hotel, with comfortable rooms to relax in, complementary tea and coffee. The staff were extremely helpful and very nice.

Found bed a little hard and green security light in room a bit bright - when sleeping.
Everything seemed brand new and was well laid out. Place was spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen with good coffee machine. Breakfast was provided and included bread for toasting, fresh fruit, hot beverages. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The best overnight stop in 30 days of walking the Camino. Big private room with en-suite bathroom. Cheap for the quality. Not a scratch anywhere and super clean. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area with dish washer, coffee machine and everything else. Washing and drying machines. Proprietor was incredibly helpful. I can’t praise them enough. Don’t stay anywhere else if you can get a room here.

NB This review relates to the private room portion of the albergue, which has about 7 rooms. Spotlessly clean, spacious, equipped with everything you need. Self-serve kitchen with complimentary toast, coffee, muffins and fruit. Nice terrace and seating area. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

The room was cold. No amount of turning the thermostat on the wall made any difference, the radiators remained stone cold on a night that went down to 9C. Used blankets from both beds and took a shower in the middle of the night to warm up.
Large, modern and clean room. Excellent kitchen and laundry facilities with a good breakfast included in the price.

Very nice private rooms at this hostal. The staff was excellent. The only problem was noise from other guests since there is very little soft surface to absorb it. But, it quieted down by bedtime.
