How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Minor but personally important - Not letting residents make their own morning drinks at breakfast ie strength and hotness of teas or coffees, also Need better tea bags for breakfast ( current ones Far too weak ) but that’s my personal preferences showing
Modern vibe / very smart and clean / smiling and welcoming staff / rooftop bar and swimming pool area Wine o’clock is a real winner / lovely breakfast choices / overall a very good experience

Our bed was not comfortable due to a hump in the middle. But I’m sure that was room specific bc the sheets and pillows were great!
The staff was wonderful! Location was good. Easy to grab a taxi or to walk. The spa was very nice little retreat. The rooftop view was amazing. Ac and shower were great. Nice pillows. Delicious breakfast. Loved the happy hour next door. Laundry room on first floor was a great surprise!

Rooftop bar was often closed, would have been nice to have access to water and drinks and snacks on the rooftop.
Big bed. Excellent service. Roof top was amazing, quiet and not to many people. Gorgeous view. Will be coming back for sure.

Lack of towel racks! Lovely huge towels but only small hooks to hang them on so they can't dry properly.
Spotless and tastefully decorated modern room. Fabulous breakfast. Very helpful friendly staff, both at front desk and at breakfast. Pool is for dipping really - not swimming - but great views. Great bathroom products!

The price of this hotel is to high compare to other hotels because you can find I similar hotels at much lower price in the area. The spa area was too noisy, small area and the water running in the pool made when others where there was overwhelming..

Location is ideal. Hotel was perfect, no complaints at all, we really enjoyed our time here & will definitely be back, a special mention to Fran who made us feel so welcome and was amazing to deal with.

Nothing really. If I was being really picky I'd say having the bar open earlier in the afternoon. And a bit more drawer space for clothes.
Great rooms, good atmosphere, loved the roof top terrace and the bar. The cute touches like the fortune cookies etc were great. Martin the barman was especially good, looked after us really well and remembered our drinks throughout the stay and always asked us how we were doing etc. Loved the wine and cheese, great way to start the evening and good wines as well! Location was excellent and the maps and guidance from the front desk staff were really useful. And of course Harry the legend. Highly recommend this place if you're staying in Barcelona.

I think the breakfast was underwhelming. The eggs were not to our liking and the cold buffet was a bit lacking in imagination - where was the nice granola, better quality of bread etc?
We had a family room which was ample in size. The location of the hotel was excellent and meant we could walk everywhere, and the staff were friendly and helpful

Nothing not to like!
The hotel was amazing, the staff are really helpful, the hotel is in a fantastic location, central but in a quieter street. Included in our booking was breakfast... excellent, the team that run breakfast were efficient and really helpful. Walkable to all the main sites and lots of restaurants/cafes near by.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. Friendly staff, nightly wine & cheese gathering, in-house restaurant, delicious hot & cold buffet breakfast. Small but very comfortable room (light & airy). Enjoyed the Turkish spa with relaxing massage, the 24-hour expresso machine, and the availability of a clothes washer & dryer. Great views from the rooftop lounge and pool.

I couldn't fault it
Great location for the reason I was visiting. Service was excellent (the best I have received from a hotel in a long time). Room was on the small side but would not stop me returning. Superb roof terrace. Nice decor. I was not expecting the free wine and cheese each evening in the sister hotel next door, a nice touch.
