Air con wasn’t working in the bedroom & it was v hot. I was on my own with a dog & there was nowhere to walk - apart from the car park. In the middle of nowhere. It was fine for one night.

Staff were all very helpful though very busy. I am an older woman travelling alone with a dog and also prefer gluten free food. Everyone was patient without being patronising. The food was good, the staff were great, it felt safe, it was a good location from the ferry to Barcelona.

Our room had a very large window with hinges on the left & opens same as a door (No restricting maximum opening chain), only approximate 700mm room floor clearance well below your centre of gravity, an un-steady adult or a child could easily fall out, all rooms are on the first floor. ALL HOTLES HAVE A SAFETY DUTY OF CARE, even in Spain.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was excellent except for the safety of the external window opening. Bathroom only a walk in shower.

Restaurant opens late about 8:30 in the evening so we had to eat dinner very late and would have been easier for us to eat earlier. There were snacka and pastries available in the cafe/bar area.

Location was very close to main route so very easy to reach. Car parking was excellent plenty of space for everyone. Nice outside tables and chairs.

Our room was directly above the restaurant and being near Christmas there were various parties in the evening. One night the party went on into the early hours of the morning and we could hear noise from the partygoers and from the music. Not good. Luckily the beds were extremely comfortable and we are used to getting to sleep during fiestas. We did not take advantage of buffet breakfast as we do not usually breakfast heavy and these breakfasts are not usually value for money. Instead we had breakfast in the bar but the muffin was stale. We ate in the restaurant the first day but were not impressed either. The steak was good but undercooked and when asked for it to be well done, it was returned in the same state as before. The dessert was also lacking. Would not eat here again.

We chose this hotel for the price but with hindsight probably would have picked something more central. To visit Calahorra we had to take the car and there is no clear exit from the hotel in the direction of Calahorra. You have to go away from the town and then go back on yourself or commit a traffic infraction. The room was small and not much room for luggage so a long stay would be uncomfortable but I don't think the hotel is meant for long stays anyway. It is right next to a petrol station and probably meant more for long distance lorry drivers. There are lots of these in the parking lot. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. The room was also very clean and the WiFi was free and with good coverage. We slept very very well and for this reason would not rule out another stay if we were visiting Calahorra again.

None of this is the Hotels fault, just things to keep in mind. Driving North up the E-804, my Satnav put me in completely the wrong place. Google maps saved the day. You turn off of the E-804 about 20-25km's South of the Hotel on the N-232. To rejoin the E-804, you have a further 30km's to go along the N-232. The Scenery is worth the lack of Dual carriageway.

Restaurant: I will say that the lighting could be dimmed a bit. But, food was decent, and the local Wine (Well, you're in the heart of some of the Best Wine production in Northern Spain) was Excellent. Worth choosing to stop here for. Staff did their Best to accommodate my lack of Spanish (Google translate worked pretty well). - Thanks All. Car Park is large enough. Hotel is Clean. If this is a 3Star, then it puts other 4Star Hotels to shame.

Advertised as having a restaurant but was using it for a big party that went on until 3. No recommendations of where we could eat after a long journey from the south and no sleep because of the noise.

-Drunk people shouting under my window until 5.30a.m. so I had almost no sleep and had to cycle 80km the next day -Floodlights from a garage forecourt shining in the window - Room not as described (e.g. no patio), and when the confirmation came it listed every permutation and service possible, with the caveat that, it depends what's available. Photos misleading; this is at the back of a garage. It's a truckstop. - Bar staff could barely look at me, let alone say thank you. - Lighting by the bed did not work; toilet cistern dripped -Bitten by bed bugs -Views of trucks, floodlights and wind turbines The absolute worst place I've ever stayed in, and I use about 40 hotels each year.

In the morning, the reception was staffed and the people there seemed pleasant.
