Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower was poor with little pressure. There was little or no soap in the two containers in the en-suite. The coffee bought at reception was terrible - weak and cold!
The location and ease of booking in.

United KingdomPerhaps a little basic decoration- the big pillar in the room and the ceiling were just plain concrete; still, it did it's job. Tea-making facilities would have been nice.
This hotel was good for our purposes which were to be near the airport for an early flight. It was a nice room; comfortable and quiet.

CanadaMarkets itself as an airport hotel but the uber to get you there will cost you as much as the fare to Madrid Central. That area is industrial and quite far from the airport via road access. The day time food is not great. Few food option in the area.
Convenient airport hotel. Affordable, clean, elegant. The rooms are big. Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is nice.

United StatesThe rooms sound proofing could be better. I couldn't tell if someone was playing loud house music in a nearby room or the hotel was playing it (I doubt it) but I was woken up by the noise.
Good hotel for a quick stay near the airport after missing a flight. The room was clean and I was able to grab something to eat from the food they offered downstairs.

United KingdomZleep saved me after my original booking got cancelled at another hotel (due to some system error or whatnot). I booked my stay on the drive to the them, which was around 10 minutes, and they let me have a room straight away with no delays. The room is quite small, however was perfect for what it was intended for - a good night zleep. Very neat, daily cleaning service, close-ish to everything that I needed. Overall super satisfied

DenmarkReaching the property can be quite challenging if you don’t go with a cab or own car, as it’s located quite far from the city centre, but we knew that
Very nice and accommodating front desk staff, quiet and comfy rooms. Great stay of you have a car to go around. Parking for free was available on the hotel street

CanadaThe hotel frames itself as an airport hotel but with the complexity of the traffic arteries, it will cost you the same with an uber or taxi than going back to central Madrid. Once you are there, it's really challenging to use public transport: there are buses but you have to pick them up form an extremely busy dual carriage way. No restaurants nearby and the hotel daytime meals are not great.
Elegant hotel that serves the hotel but avoid the hotel franchise feel. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. The rates are affordable. The breakfast buffet is nice.

NorwayAll hotels at Madrid Airport are far away from teminals and parking, so is also Zleep. They are also relatively expensive and is no good value for money. Unless your itinerary forces you to stay close to airport stay in the city.
For a Madrid Airport Hotel it is an Ok midrange alernative. Good parking in garage, very fast wifi. Breakfast is OK, not a great selection or highend items but good food. If you are hungry you can get your value. Transport to Airport terminals

SpainLack of coffee maker or kettle in room. Insane headboard - as the only place to sit to watch TV the headboard was a pad with a large space below (no headboard there) making it impossible to sit without using both pillows to fill the gap! Advertised shuttle to airport was not available to us after 9.30 AM, not sure if pre booked or did not exist at that time. In house signage was non existent - e.g. (we saw everyone with the following issue)- the restaurant was open but no order desk or waiter in place. After wandering around someone told us the menu and orders were taken back at the bar at the other end of building (next to reception)from the restaurant followed by going back to restaurant to wait for meal. Not particularly challenging if they only had a sign stating the process. "Order Food at Bar by Entrance" We ourselves helped 3 other couples to navigate the process once we had learned it ourselves.
Location was fine, price was just on for small size of room etc.

IrelandNo such, but I was staying at 420 on 16th, the orientation of washroom was wired. Then on the 20th, I stayed at room 608. It was excellent; however, I could smell odd odour from the drain of the shower area. I think it requires a clog removal gel to pour. There are many options in the shops to buy. Overall good experience.

United StatesAn airport shuttle would be really great. We had to book an Uber/taxi to and from the airport which was expensive both ways. But I realize that would likely make the cost of the room go up.
The beds were really comfortable, I enjoyed the clean design aesthetic and it was a convenient 15-20min drive to the airport outside of the city center.
