The place, the forest and surrounding are magnificent. The restaurant food is above expectations.

The air in the room is very dry, as the main source of the heating was the AC. The room was very well isolated, which usually is a plus. But it was maybe too good, as the room temperature was really high, especially for sleeping.

Overall, very clean and the pictures showed a true picture of the accommodation. The restaurant and food were very good and definitely worth the money.

Access to our cabin and the sauna/hot tub was a bit precarious. When we commented about the ice near our door they immediately cleared that but the road to and from slippery. We did manage though when we mentioned it and they provided walking sticks.

The location was perfect. It was far enough away from the road but not remote. The entire staff was delightful, informative and made us feel at home. The food was top notch - could deserve a Michelin rating!

Everything was perfect.

10/10 stay. The cabins are beautiful and have everything you need. They’re warm and cosy. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional. The saunas, jacuzzi and ice hole are incredible so make sure you do that too. The staff is super nice and helpful.

The cabins are closer together than we thought but we were able to close the curtains a bit to hide our neighbor so not a big deal. The only true con is that transportation from the airport to this location is expensive. The bus is an alternative option but it is a little hike to this secluded location.

The sauna is too pricy for not including towels or neoprene gloves, but in the end I did not use my reservation and the staff was EXTREMELY kind about helping me

Beautifully located in the forest, it’s like stepping into a fairytale! Room was modern and cosy with a great bed. Very kind staff and delicious food. I was really impressed by how the kitchen dealt with food restrictions. Will never forget watching the stars and northern lights from our bed. Fully recommend, would come back for sure!

Nothing, it was perfect

This exceeded all of my expectations, the setting was amazing, the service was friendly and excellent. We booked the hot tub and sauna and it was totally worth it, we went in the ice hole in the frozen lake and then straight into the sauna to warm up! A completely unique experience for me. The food was phenomenal, we had the best nights sleep and to top it all off we saw the northern lights!

Nothing. The only thing that was not great is the limited warm water supply (circa 15 minutes every hour).

What an experience! When lucky you are able to see the Northern Lights from your bed. You have a lot of privacy even with the curtains open. The menu in the small restaurant including wines completes the experience.

The breakfast was excellent, though a bit of variety would be nice for guests like us who stay for several days.

The location in an enchanting forest in the middle of a winter wonderland and away from the crowds and lights of the nearby town of Akaslompolo (though not too far as to make it a long drive) was excellent for peaceful relaxation and observation of the northern lights. The staff were excellent and made every effort to accommodate to our needs and special requests. The pirate sauna/jacuzzi and ice hole were a delight!

The rooms don’t have WiFi. The location is remote in understand it may be difficult to have a good WiFi connection, but they did have it on the main building.

The location is stunning. The bungalow itself is incredible, specially if you have the chance to experience some very strong northern lights with clear skies (like we did).

A lot of the value is tied up in being able to enjoy the sky from your bed - nothing the Lodge can do about the weather, but the amenities do not match the cost on their own when the weather is poor. Rooms are closer together than they appear in pics, and curtains have to be closed on the sides or others can see in from their rooms/vice versa.

Beautiful location and rooms. Bed/linens are very comfortable and bathrooms are snug but it isn’t really a problem. Waking up surrounded by wintery trees in a warm room can’t be beat, even if clouds obscured the sky during our stay. Sauna and dinner are also worth the add’l cost. Staff were excellent!

Everything was perfect. The road near the sauna could be better to walk on if i have to pinpoint something.

This place is totally worth the money we spent. Renting the sauna is a must if you want to have a romantic day that you won't forget!

Would have been even better to see reindeers from the room windows! Joking. :) We saw reindeers on the yard and on the road and we were happy.

Location was even better than what we thought, very close to Äkäslompolo center but still very peaceful. Loved the view in the room, it was amazing to wake up there. Breakfast was delicious.

The cabins were gorgeous and the surrounds were fabulous. Staff were excellent and very friendly, and the meals were fantastic, with the chef providing a special menu for vegetarians which was exceptional. The spa and sauna were also an absolute pleasure to use, with the added option of jumping in the ice lake.
