How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

expensive parking & double blanket in the bed. no extra blanket so we had to share with my friend which wasnt optimal.

Hotel almost full and some facilities bit undersized eg. breakfast in the basement.
Friendly staff and excellent location in the middle of Tampere city center. Good parking facilities.

Would maybe have expected breakfast to be included for the price, however this was known when booking.
Room was very clean and modern as was the hotel. Good location, near to the city.

Just minor inconveniencies: 1) While showering, the water came through/under the glass wall, flooding the bathroom floor. 2) I wish they had had some thinner pillows. Those thick pillows were quite uncomfortable to sleep on.
Great location; modern, comfortable rooms. Staff at the reception 24/7, everyone was very professional and friendly. Very clean and tidy. Good quality shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower. Easy-to-use air conditioning. A coffee machine and a kettle, as well as a fridge.

Otherwise nice and clean room, but carpet had some stains and under the bed had some old dried strawberries. Also the lower mattress sheet had some stains in it, which came visible when the upper mattress moved during the night.
Excellent location, helpfull and kind staff and nice sized rooms. Breakfast was very delicious! Would go again.

The standard coffee is terrible. Very scarce room amenities. No separate toilet shower, a really big minus!

Everything was fine.

Evening meal menu was rather limited and rather expensive. Tea/sugar in room was not adequately replenished so I had to get some from restaurant. TV programs mainly foreign languages only BBC news in English no entertainment or sport programs.
Breakfast buffet was good typical of hotel like this. Check in and out was efficient and fast. Although hotel seemed relatively busy there was no disturbing noise in the room. Room was clean and modern, shower had good pressure. Hotel was easy walk to centre of town and rail station.

The bed was made hastily, we needed to fix the sheets. Drinking glasses in the room didn’t look too clean.
Breakfast was basic. Not very much vegetables, for example no tomatoes. No fish. Staff was nice & helpful. To have shampoo, conditioner & body wash separately was nice.

Whilst the room was always cleaned nicely every day, they were slightly poor at restocking the hot drinks and sundries. But we asked at reception and were immediately given replacements. Due to the influx of visitors, sometimes it was difficult to get a table at breakfast. However, we never had to wait that long and u could always eat outside if u wished. The air conditioning in the room was not all that effective, but was sufficient enough. Unfortunately there were no windows you could open.
Staff were super friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was well stocked and delicious with great variety. Bed was super comfy and rooms were very clean with housekeeping every day. The shower room was super clean and modern. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all provided for the duration of your stay. We were there for 6 nights having competed at the World Masters, so it was super busy but staff coped well with this. You could help yourself to soft drinks and food from the fridge in reception and add this to your room. A microwave also available here.....super useful as we often bought food from the supermarket, went back to hotel, heated it up and sat outside. They provided us with plates and cutlery every time we did this. Highly recommend!

I think the kitchen should be open later, closes at 9 pm
I liked everything very much, it was a good value, the food in the restaurant was good and tasty, staff were great in every way, beds rather soft for my back but were comfortable.

Extensive choices for breakfast, all very good food. Unfailingly helpful staff. Very short queues at Reception. Taxi service good and dependable. Typically high Courtyard standards of decor.

Breakfast is a bit coomplicated during to less space for people. Employees try to solve everything, but due to too much questions and work, very slow... Hotel allows dogs... was for us not good, as we had a room in between to "dog-rooms" ... was very loud.... we got another room... thx for that. no parking space in hotel rate included... more than 30 Euro per day!!
