Price with the spa access was quite high. Hotel must have been really nice when it was built, but surfaces would need a bit more maintenance/repair.

The rooms, the spa and the hotel itself is very outdated... "old" and "worn-out" would be best description. During the holiday season is absolutely unreasonable to have breakfast only until early morning hours. The fan in the bathroom did not work, the remote control did not work - reception is not answering the calls, needed to walk all the way from one end of the building to another (in my pj's) just to get these things sorted. The water temperature in the spa is ridiculously low, not at all +30C as stated there. In general - clearly a "tourist" kind of place, hosting mainly groups. Not recommended for family stay.

The hotel location is quite nice and the staff were very friendly. The R-kioski open on site is an excellent bonus!

I had read the reviews and they were not very positive, so I went with rather low expectations, there were not many other accommodation options in the area. When we arrived, we were already charmed by the hotel from the outside - a nice low building that fit into the surroundings, the interior design was in a lovely mountain hut style, which left a close to nature and cozy impression. Yes, the parquet and the furniture in the room were a little worn, but we took this hotel more as a "ski base" than a luxurious stopover, so there are no complaints. The only thing that bothered us were the gaming machines in the corridor, they were quite close to our room and the visitors played them very loudly, but luckily the noise was not much heard from our room. There are cross-country ski tracks right next to the hotel, the hotel room was large and comfortable, with cozy lighting, the shower had good pressure and pleasantly hot water - everything worked well! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the spa, because it was just closed when we arrived, but looking in to the window, there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy the jacuzzi. Separately, I would point out the excellent breakfast - a very wide selection, very tasty dishes and very much taken into account for food intolerances, excellent!

Our room was not prepared for 5 when we arrived and we were lacking sheets & pillows etc. The personel fixed that swiftly & friendly though. Still in the end we were left with only one sauna linen for 5 adults. There was no phone in the room and I was too tired to walk to the reception again to ask linens for all of us so that was disappointing. The sauna world was closed due to renovation so there was only one regular electric sauna in the spa. Luckily we had our own king-size sauna. There was no surface or cupboard where to hang and store clothes and suitcases, so all our suitcases & backbags were lying around the floor all weekend in a suite that was already quite tight to begin with.

The sauna, shower & toilet were spacious & newly renovated and clearly the point of the whole suite, which otherways was quite ordinary & ascetic. It was more like sauna with suite than the other way around! The view was beautiful and the beds comfy. Quite ordinary but good sleeping experience.

The older part really needs some work done! The common areas of the older building were really uninviting - stained carpets, walls need painting etc. No AC in the room! Only 1 working electric outlet in the room...

Convenient location, beautiful nature around. The room was clean and spacious enough. Friendly staff. Nothing to complain about breakfast or restaurants in the hotel.

Travelling with three kids, the superior family room was perfect. It would easily fit 2 adults and 4 children. The room was clean and modern. Kids also loved the spa!

We got a room with two beds and they were not attached to each other which is not a perfect solution for a couple. The spa is good, we especially liked the steam bath. The only thing we missed there was a hot jacuzzi, the hottest water is just 32 degrees. Bring your own skis! There is a ski hire at the hotel with strange opening hours, from 10 to 14. You can hire skis for 2 hours for 20 euros, it is approximately the price of one ski bag by plane in one direction.

The hotel is perfectly located a little out of Kuusamo town. Good cross-country skiing tracks that are constantly maintained. Very good breakfast and the best coffee I have drunk in any Finnish hotels. Snowshoes for hire and not expensive. Good that you can use the spa even more than once a day (provided that you buy that type of room). Car rental is available at the airport that is some 6 km-s from the hotel.

Unfortunately my sons bed sheets weren’t clean (hairs and stains) and the room really could have done with a deep clean. When we checked out I explained the situation and said how disappointed we were and that we had paid a lot of money and expected more. My details were taken and apologies made and that the manager would contact us. It’s been a month and we have heard nothing.

The room is a great size for families and the layout worked really well. No issues with the hotel, great facilities, location and stuff very helpful.

I did not like that I had to wait for all the people who checked in when I was going to ask for a massage-time. I did not want to wait so I skipped it.

I liked the breakfast, but I would have been even more happy with croissants, bacon and whip cream for the pancakes. And also oboy (kaakao) would have been nice.

AC would have been great, just great. It was hot (unusually so).

We loved that we got a room in which we could fit very very comfortably. We even had a sauna. Staff was friendly and came forth with own suggestion how to package the trip. Spa included!! Hotel surroundings were super beautiful!

We came with a pet, and we understand that there are specific rooms for pet owners, but it seemed to be a bit old and in need for renovation. But generally overal we enjoyed our stay! Thanks a lot

Staff are in a bad mood. Food and drinks are too spread out. Unclear what you are allowed to eat at the buffee. If you take the wrong food you get told off but it is really impossible to know what food is allowed. What makes it even worse is that the wrong food was from the dinner buffee that had ennded and the food was being thrown away.

Nice small leisure center, nice location for nature.
