Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Easy to find; many parking spots close by, even few under roof. Very friendly staff, good food at dinner and very good breakfast with so many varieties.

FinlandIt’s uncommon to find recently renovated hotels in Finland and fortunately this is not one! they’ve done a good job at keeping things new and functional. It’s a quick 5 min walk to old town but the hotel bar and restaurant are traditional and cozy. nice terrace to relax as well.

FinlandIf you’re staying in a room facing to the street, then earplugs are needed for sleeping.
The old town can be achieved by walking. The facilities and the breakfast are good. The hotel staffs are also helpful and friendly.

NetherlandsThe light in bathroom could not be turned off. If it had been a very small light it may have been ok, but it is very bright. So when we had to use the toilet at night, the bright light came on and we were right awake and it was difficult to go back to sleep.
We had a nice room at the back, it was very quiet. Wifi was very good. Breakfast excellent. In walking distance to old town and bus station.

FinlandIn the shower room there is a timer for the lights instead of a switch. The time period for the light to shut off is way too short, Every time I took a shower the lights went out 3-4 times and I needed to wave my hands to gets the lights back on. Very irritating. Next to the double bed there is a night lamp and a table only on one side of the bed. As we both like to read before sleeping this was not conviniant. Double bed size is a bit small.
Good aircondition in the room. Nice breakfast. Size of the room.

GermanyThe bed was very small for two people and there was no bedside table, light, and electrical outlet on the second side of the bed. Almost could have been a single room! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Sunday and during winter time it was not easy to find an open restaurant in the city.
Walking distance to Rauma city centre. We could do all the sightseeing by foot. Garage nearby is locked between midnight and 6 am. So the car was safe during the night and there was no ice on the car the next morning. The breakfast was very good and nicely presented. Maritime theme nicely represented throughout the house (with the Maritime Museum on the opposite side of the road).

LuxembourgThe wood furniture, that in my room suffered some stain by hot water, makes the room quite dark.
The location is very good: close to the center, but still quiet, in front to an historical location which makes quite cool staying there. Very good breakfast and comfy bed in a rather large room with a desk and a table. I appreciated a lot the many plugs in the room and the good wifi (I had to work there).

FinlandThe breakfast was only available until 9:30 which is a bummer especially during summer vacation times.
Looks a bit outdated from outside, but the inside is what counts. The rooms were quite nice and the A/C worked perfectly. The staff were really nice and hospitable. Breakfast is ok, nothing exceptional. Free parking and one spot for charging.

Finland1. No rooms for 4 persons. Had to pay for two separate rooms. 2. The front door parking lots and areas had a lot of broken glass on them. Awkward for your car tyres and walking. The hotel could rise its profile by keeping its outside areas tidy.
1. Continental breakfast, which was included to the room price, was great and plenty with wide selection of hot and cold items. Nice breakfast area and also a terrace for eating outdoors. 2. Dinner could be ordered to your room and the food quality was good and well served.

FinlandPrice level in Rauma and Pori in general is way beyond what the area offers. Rooms were fine, otherwise somewhat outdated.
I plant based, but also glutein and my breakfast was very limited, but my all-eater partner was very happy. Location close to the docks and city ideal. Quiet location. Cheapest in the city at the chosen date. I think the rooms are recently redecorated and fine - beds very narrow 160 cm in our chosen room.
