Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThere were bright lights on the deck of the ship and the curtains didn't block out any light. The sauna also wasn't working which was quite a disappointment.
Staying on the S/S Bore was a really cool experience! I had a room to myself for a fantastic price, with a shower and bathroom in the room. The breakfast was absolutely amazing!

FinlandThe bathroom felt a bit untidy, but still fine. The morning sauna was not working. And the room ventilation made some noise.
The atmosphere on the boat is really nice. Sleeping a night there makes your city trip feel immediately longer and more exotic. Rooms where really authentic oldschool boat cabins - I liked that. Breakfast was good.

ChinaMy first room doesn't have a room but the bed is super. Only the bed is too low so you can not sit there. You have a only choice - sleep. When I found the bathroom can not be used they helped me to change a room. This time the room has the window and the space is better. But the bed is somehow one side up one side down. So I can not sleep so good. Whatever, the cost is good and I can not blame at it.
The location. If you turn to the port or the destination of Turku that's a hotel very close to them. Also you can take the bus easily to the city center or Helsinki. The equipment is good for a boat. Living in a museum is very interesting.

LatviaOk. There were a couple of moments: There is only one power outlet in the cabin. Quite small cabin. But I knew what before our stay and wasn't surprised. Anyway the atmosphere is great.
Very nice old ship. Exceptional atmosphere of good old times. For us, it was an excellent location. Right in front of Forum Marinum Museum. Good breakfast.

United KingdomBreakfast was a bit disappointing, very limited selection but great if you like salty porridge.
It's a novelty place to stay, and while it is a bit far from the city centre it is perfect for an overnight stopover if you happen to be arriving by the Viking Line Ferry. The room is small but more than suitable for solo travellers and my room came with a porthole. (It didn't open and only provided a view of the port customs but hey it was novel enough.) Good WiFi and very friendly and hospitable staff.

FinlandThe floor of the shower had a few broken tiles and the soundproofing could've been slightly better.
The location was great for the city vacation we had, the rooms were exactly as promised, the staff was friendly as well as helpful. The breakfast served had a good variety of foods, and everything tasted fresh. All in all, the hostel provided what it promised for a very affordable price, and we will be visiting it again in the future.

PolandWell, the room was just a small cabin - I knew what I could expect but I was quite shocked seeing I was not able to close the toilet doors because it's been blocked by the bed. Also the bed was not very comfy. There was only one outlet and basically it made it not very comfortable to use the phone while charing
I chose this place to get some unique experience - it's the main reason why worth of consideration. I found some joy in exploring the ship as such. Nice surroundings. Breakfasts were ok - many options, nice dining room.

FinlandThe cabin was the smallest ever and was located on the lower deck. Very narrow corridors and steep stairways; be aware if you have big suitcases.
A charming ”old school” cruising vessel. Close to the city, the castle and the harbour terminals.

AustraliaPowerPoint was 5ft from the ground - luckily I had long cords and a stool I could sit everything on. Check out was 11am and someone started making grinding noises outside my room before that. Yes it’s late morning, but if I could have been sleeping for as long as possible. Shower is very awkward. No room to move and the shower curtain sticks to you.
Unique setting, reasonable pricing, good cold breakfast selection, friendly staff, they checked me in very early after I arrived from the 7:30am ferry from Stockholm, which was a blessing!

BulgariaLack of sockets in the cabin. There was only one. Otherwise you get what you have paid for.
Breakfast was neat and fresh. The room or the cabin to be more precise was tiny enough to fit someone with suitcase and a backpack. Bathroom and towels were clean and the personnel was really helpful and friendly. Location is perfect if you're planning on going to a ferry trip on the next day. It's a 10-15 walk.
