Unfortunately we did not see the northern lights, since it was always cloudy in the night.

The location at the frozen river was very beautiful. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the guide Tomas was extra kind and most surprisingly he speaks excellent Slovak:) We rented cross-country skis directly at the property and explored the forests and area around which was a breathtaking experience. It is not too far (walking/skiing) to Ivalo city where you can do grocery shopping if you need or buy souvenirs.

We wanted to have some drinks and cake in the restaurant, while eating our own lunch food, and they did not let us. It would have been nice since the rooms did not have enough space to eat comfortably. Besides that, no other complaints.

Everything: location, facilities, rooms, landscape, the restaurant, but specially the breakfast buffet! Was really good and labeled, with lactose- and gluten-free options. The staff was also nice and helpful. You can rent snowshoes and other equipment for outdoor activities.

I would have liked more choice at the breakfast buffet. There could be more choice of cheese, sausage, jam, etc. But we still enjoyed breakfast very much. Especially the warm dishes that were served at the buffet.

We had the most amazing time at Arctic River Resort. The people who hosted us were so friendly and helpful. The location was priceless, with a very nice view of the river. The food was very tasty at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed all the activities we booked. I definitely recommend this place to everyone because it was an extraordinary experience and you definitely shouldn't miss it. Many thanks to Thomas who was our guide. We had an amazing stay in the Arctic River Rtheiresort. we stayed there for 3 nights with family. they had provided us their best cottage as we had kids with us. the service was exceptional. They called their aurora tour guide at late night on our request just to satisfy our queries. The location is also amazing. We were extremely lucky that we could see dancing aurora from just outside our cottage. Their Husky tour was also amazing.

A fireplace at the cabin would have been nice and would have given the place a bit more coziness, but the cabin was comfortable anyway!

We really enjoyed our stay at one of the Aurora cabins, a private sauna included to heat up after a day in the cold! There were rental snowshoes, which we used for hiking in the nearby national park Urho Kekkonen (driving there by car) and several options for tours like snowmobile or aurora hunting. The cabin itself had everything needed, the kitchen was well equipped for quick meals and the beds were very comfortable! The resort is located at a quiet place next to the river with friendly staff and a good restaurant in the main building. We tried the breakfast once which was delicious.

The door lock was a little annoying

It was amazing three nights! We got a nice, cozy and warm cabin with our own sauna and kitchen right around a beautiful river and forest . The staff here is extremely nice and helpful. Restaurant has plenty of options of delicious food and good affordable breakfast (15€). They also have plenty of attractions on site like snowmobiles, skiing, snow walking, aurora haunting and so on. Close to the site there is a bus toward Rovaniemi and backwards so we were able visit the ski resort one day.

Just one day we had some really noisy neighbours and we struggled a bit to sleep. Hence the soundproofing could be a bit better, but hey, this is something that could happen anywhere.

They will clean your room if you ask them.

Close proximity to town, 15 minutes by car to airport and on the meander of Ivalojoki which freezes in winter providing a large area for hiking, snow mobile skiing and close to the husky safari provider. If you are lucky you can see the Aurora from the Meander. The forest surrounding the resort offers photo enthusiasts plenty of opportunities to take photos. Reindeers can be seen early morning or middle of the nights in the neighbouring fields. The resort was fantastic in helping me to book my dog sledging and King crab tour as well as the airport transfer. Pre-booking before your arrival is recommended Restaurants opened from 8am to 10pm. Friendly staff who speaks perfect English and French.

It was a bit cold in the room, but luckily the temperatures were not so low. We did not get to see the Aurora here (due to the weather: a lot of clouds), but I think it's a very good location to spot it.

Lovely peaceful resort situated near Ivalo, on the river. We ate a very very good salmon soup (the best we had in Finland, honestly :) We really recommend the restaurant - very good homemade food. The staff was extra friendly (Thank you, Nathalie, for all your kindness and for helping us with all our questions). They even let us try the sauna only for 30min (instead of 1h). The owner was also very nice and curious about our country - we had a very pleasant and interesting conversation during our breakfast (about ice hockey, Finland, pandemic situation). We really, really recommend this location!

Beds are a little too small and the blankets too heavy for a cabin with heating. Breakfast could vary the menu from time to time.

Location and friendly staff. Special mention to Natalie, who was the sweetest, always wearing a smile and giving helpful tips on the activities in the area. Appliances in the kitchen were very nice. You made the difference, Natalie! Kiitos 👏👏👏

Few points which can be improved 1. There was no shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom 2. Breakfast was fine but can be improved 3. Too many bright lights outside the cottages

We saw the Northern lights on our first night from the hotel Stuffs are very helpful and nice. They managed early check-in for us Room was clean and comfy. Bed was very comfortable Great location We had a vey nice stay
