How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I didn't like the room cleaning service. I agreed once per my stay, but only bed was made, and no garbage was taken out. Hopefully, it is a temporal problem.
In general, everything is fine. The bed was very comfort. Breakfast fine for me.

The staff was friendly and responsive to my requests. I loved the breakfast. I swam laps in the 10 m pool. There was no one else in the pool when I went at 6 am, so there was no problem to swim laps. The pool water was a slightly cold, but my body warmed up after a couple of laps, the water temperature was not a problem.

The toilet seat was not clean when I entered! Internet disconnected if you did not use for a while. And sometimes it worked poorly. Time of breakfast should be extended for the weekends, not shifted. I offer 6:30 to 11 for the weekends.
Staff were friendly. Room service was good. Nice and good-looking room in general.

- The toilet seat. Usually, in Radisson Blu hotels I slept in, they had slow close toilet seats. It's not (yet) the case in this hotel. As a result, I've been waken up brutally in the morning by someone who forgot about the absence of this system - The automatic light that woke us up a couple times during the night by turning on and off nonstop
- Location near Laajalahti, which technically speaking is part of the Baltic sea - Possibility to take some cruise boats nearby - Excellent breakfast - Lots of facilities inside the room, even during winter time you won't encounter any issue where to leave your clothes - "Check-out treats" - a nice gesture - The swimming pool - The free car park on the spot - Tramway being built close to the hotel in case you want to get to Helsinki without your car. - Easy access to/from Helsinki by car.

We paid extra for room with sea view, but unfortunately we don't see sea view from our room because trees are blocking the view. Otherwise, location is very nice

This hotel is located on the campus of Aalto University in Espo. It is a pleasant place, with a comfortable lobby. People at the reception are kind and helpful. The metro station is within 15 minutes of walking distance.

The walls were thin and you could hear everything your neighbors were doing, even when they were only moving their suitcases. During my whole stay I had to sleep with earplugs.
Overall, the room was very clean and the hotel staff very kind and helpful. The breakfast was really delicious and satisfied everyone's needs. The location of the hotel was ideal, since I attended an event at the university, which was 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Many vegan options at breakfast, such as vegan cheese, hummus, oat and soy milk, etc. I particularly appreciated the effort in reducing carbon and water footprint (i.e. changing towels only when requested and providing soap and shampoo in big container)

The wifi was not very strong and the price was a little high (especially the breakfast at €25)
