It is a little distance from the keskusta, but again that may be a plus too. It is quite a large holiday park, so things are a little spread out

Although I had trouble finding the place, as I misjudged how far it wad from the keskusta, when I got there, I enjoyed my stay. Mostly Finns staying there, and I may have been the only Irlantilaisen mies there, I found them all very engaging and friendly, and most appreciated my modest efforts puhua vähän suomea when I interacted witht hem. I have happy memories of my short stay here.

Little shack I slept in was pretty dirty and ants liked to make their road through it.

Rustic, yet has a few nice amenities, like the sauna next to the lake.

I thought it could have been more clear when booking exactly which type of accommodation I'd booked, as we arrived slightly under-prepared.

The facilities on site were good with plenty of showers and toilets, as well as a communal kitchen with plenty of workspaces (ovens, microwave, hobs, sink). I hired the economy cottage with my Dad and it was very cosy. It's essentially two single beds with a little space in between to walk in and out of the 'hobbit house' as I called it. More of a glamping experience than a hotel. It's also worth being aware that you can hire bedding for 7 EU per person, or you can bring your own. It's a short drive to Kuopio (15mins) where there are plenty of places to eat and a bustling market.

Everything went smoothly and was really simple. There was a working TV and clean water in the cabin. Plenty of space and a porch to sit on.

The first cottages we got was just way too hot and there was no chance to open a window. Then we changed the cottage (extra charge) and it was the same hot, but had a possibility to open windows - however that place had no mosquito net on windows. Somehow we did survive.

Service at the reception was ok. Location was good. Nature around was nice.

I had a lot of ants around my tiny cabin. Crawling inside and on the walls and on the bed. I think it might be an isolated thing as there might have been a nest under the porch. I didn't keep any food inside either, so it really must have been their home.

Everything you need there. The little restaurant has decent food (if a little slow to prepare) and the staff is really friendly. Would be nice if they had some breakfast options during the week. Sauna next to the lake was wonderful!

we booked the cheapest and the smallest cabin for 2 people and it’s was quite okayish, except sleeping was in a very firm bad

all facilities are good: the kitchen, showers. there is even a make up room for ladies 😃 also very nice territory for walking

The cottage is technically only a space for two single beds and that’s all. It wasn’t completely clean (I’m allergic to dust and I sneezed a bit). The kitchen has separate cooking station which is nice but you really have to bring EVERYTHING, included plates and plates soap. Your own pan it’s okay, and also shelter, but not having really nothing is not nice.. OR at least SPECIFY It properly ☺️

Was not given the cabin we booked because of a staff error and not enough staff in the restaurant during busy times. No seperated counter for ordering just drinks.

On the last morning we had multiple moth vermin crawling from in-between our blankets. Most disgusting hotel experience I have had in my life. If they don't know how to avoid moths laying eggs in blankets it is hard to trust anything in the facility is cleaned. Also for whatever reason Kuopio did not have street lights on at night, so getting to the hotel was a pain.

The cabins seem to get a bit oldish - some renowation could be done.

Very nice and quiet location. Free of charge morning sauna is like a cherry on top of a cake. Very attentive and friendly staff.

Stairs, my friend slipped and sprained her ankle so maybe need to warn small kids with family not to run especially during raining!

The cabin was very basic as we expected, but mosquito nets on the windows would be nice to have. Also if you ask us to wipe the tables it would be nice to have a proper wipe cloth for this. There was just a small piece of cloth full of holes for this purpose. We ordered two pizzas from the restaurant and had to wait over an hour for them, although there were not much customers at that time.

Staff at the reception was friendly and everything worked smoothly. The beach is very good, especially for children. The Sauna at the beach is also perfect and it's nice that it's possible to rent it for personal use. Plenty of toilets and showers, we didn't have to wait for our turn anywhere.

The cottages must be renovated, they look awfully old inside, there is almost no light inside. Very gloomy:( Outdoor furniture must be replaced, it is worn and broken. The mattresses in the beds are very uncomfortable, so are the pillows.

The nature around is nice, good to walk with dogs. The bathrooms were comfortable, new and clean.

The eco cottages were located in an area that was not properly maintained, there was overgrown grass which attracted insects and small animals, and kept the cottages very humid. The cottages were not properly ventilated (no proper window), the foam mattresses as well as the fitted sheets covering them were in an appalling state. We had to keep the door open at night to be able to breathe. The cottages were minimal, just two stools and beds, and nothing else. As for the bathrooms and showers, they were dirty most of the time, except in the morning just after they were cleaned. The bins in the ladies room needed emptying way more often, this is a big campsite ! The floor in the showers was yellow, as well as the shower curtains. The bathroom buildings clearly need refurbishment. Management should stop cutting costs and start treating their customers with dignity. We would have been more comfortable in our own tent.

Very beautiful location. Stay in the little hut was cosy and comfortable. Slept very well and it was two quiet nights. Good and clean facilities. Definitely can recommend this place. Kiitos paljon!
