Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWeather was bad, can't help that, but not much to do when the weather was bad at the resort. Only one smallish pool and not enough seating inside when we couldn't go out.
Location was fantastic, staff were beautiful friendly and attentive. The live music was very good.

United KingdomExpensive activities and beauty treatments. We couldn't afford to do any of the water sports we wanted to do.
We loved the island, the pool, amazing buffet breakfast, and exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was huge, comfortable, and felt luxurious.

CanadaI feel like some simple things could be updated like buying more tennis balls (there was only 4). There was also a minigolf but no stick to play with so it was closed.. Things that to me should be fixed pretty fast.
We absolutely loved our stay at Sheraton Tokoriki! The staff were so lovely and the service was over our expectations. We had Chef Gemenu from Sri Lanka during our stay who was soooo good! The food was super tasty and he served us the best indian lunch one day! We were there with our daughter who was 18 months old and she has the best time ever as well! The rooms are confortably, there is tennis and a gym and pool and snorkeling! We would like to come back for sure!

New ZealandNo introduction or navigation to resort upon arrival. The hotel needs a pastry chef as the pastries on offer are not light and fresh. Hotel should advertised if all facilities are not available. I was unite disappointed that the Indian restaurant was closed the entire visit as the floor was being renovated. Spa services, experienced the Head and shoulders and feet massage = 5/10 Bobo Fijian Cultural massage 60 mins = 6/10 Fijian Cultural massage 90 mins = 7.5/10
The central pool location to the bar and restaurants and games room. The Fijian staff were awesome John (Hone) at the bar, such a great barman with the social skills to match , then there was Mala from the restaurant, he makes the meanest chicken wings and Kokoda and Mellileti in the restaurant always greeting us with a smile, just to name a few but the activities staff were also funny and interactive. The restaurant and bar manager was awesome and organised a fantastic dinner for our anniversary. The staff definitley are the gems of the island and make it so easy to sink into Fiji time. Great water but limited area for swimming with resort boats taking a large area from mooring and travel.

United StatesThe bed was 2 mattresses pushed together and firmness not good. Wife and I have sore lower backs every morning. The all-inclusive is too expensive for what is provided. The lunches and dinners were very repetitive with a rotation of similar food recipes. Seemed to be understaffed as always waiting for someone at the bar, or hostess station, etc. Also, no wine or beer provided in the rooms. Sandals is less money and provides much more food variety, pools activities and personal service for the lower price. The physical place and staff saved the day however, both being very nice. I would recommend pay as you go and not all-inclusive. Single large pool while we were there was loaded with kids out of control splashing us even at the swim-up bar, no parental control so we were forced to stay in our private sitting pool with our room.
Staff were amazing. Breakfast was a great selection everyday. Alcohol was mid shelf not rot-gut for the all-inclusive.

Australia1. TV did not work despite multiple requests to get it fixed / looked at, throughout our whole stay (5 days). We gave up requesting this to be fixed on day 3. 2. We never had access to wifi and had to pay almost $200 in international roaming during our stay (this was escalated also). 3. There was a constant bad smell from a tank located at the front of the Indian restaurant. The lid for this tank was often not placed and the smell was terrible - most guests thought it was the smell of seaweed (not so sorry). 4. Communication was poor e.g sunset cocktails cancelled due to weather not relayed … guests walked all the way up to the helipad for cocktails … no one there. Bookings necessary for dinner … no advice to do so, family misses out on dinner at a restaurant. 5. Wait time in the main restaurant sometimes took lengthy periods of time . 1 hr to get meal.
The reef was spectacular. The staff were friendly and accomodating and the menu was varied and suited all palates. The beds were extremely comfortable and the housekeeping and access to fresh water daily were commendable.

IndiaSome of the staff are very rude to you and they don’t even bother to serve or ask you water when you are at the restaurant. Requires multiple follow ups to get water or even a menu card sometimes.
The location is very secluded and private to enjoy and make most if the crystal clear waters of fiji and sandy beaches. The room was very clean and had all the things as mentioned. We loved everything about the stay in the ocean view adults only room we had booked. The sunsets are beautiful and the views from different areas of the resort just are sight to behold. The restaurant and bar manger Niyas is really welcoming, helpful and makes sure you get what you want and are not left feeling hungry. Chef Sashank goes above and beyond to make meals that are not on the menu only for you as per your dietary preferences. Overall Niyas and Sashank made sure we have a great experience at Sheraton Tokoriki. I highly recommend you meet these two gentleman when staying there so you feel the warmth if their hospitality.

Australia3% surcharge for all card payments applies. They do not let you know u until the moment of payment, which is disappointing. Some staff members were not friendly nor really dedicated to customer service(reception desk especially), which brings the effort of other team members down and ruin their hard work. Some money disappeared from our room, and it was reported. Food was average to poor. Besides breakfast, there was no variety, and considering the price, it was disappointing. Staff tried hard especially when found out me and my partner work in hospitality, but unfortunately decisions come from upper management, so not much room for change.
Location is outstanding straight in front of the reef which offers lots of opportunities for those who love water activities. Most of the staff was very friendly and lovely to have around. Big rooms, big beds, nice village environment.

New ZealandMy husband got sick with a tummy bug while we were there, and in speaking to other guests we noted that a lot of people were getting sick. Hard to say if there was just something going around or if it was the water or food related.

AustraliaThe activities are not very well organised. Pool volley ball was probably the only activity most guests look forward to as it was fun! However ball went missing on our last night there. Kids club also has soccer session but apparently they don't have a ball to run the session. Shower water pressure in our room was very poor and extremely slow. Even though after the engineer came to fix it. We went for a walk to look for Hideaway Beach though the signage is misleading and lead us to the wrong way.
We are here at the end of Australia school holiday. It didn't feel overly busy which was nice. Pool is not huge but good size for the amount of crowd during out stay. Staff are always friendly and welcoming though the services are slow. Food was good, we ate at all 3 different restaurants. They are all good quality yummy food. Beach is clean and water is very clear and warm to swim. Though we didn't see any corals but some fishes near the shores.
