Self check-in didn't work for me, but fortunately there was staff available by phone. This means it would probably be impossible to leave bags before or after check-in. Bathroom had one of those Scandinavian showers that's just a corner of the room, so it's hard not to make a mess with the water.

Comfortable, up-to-date room, good wifi. Location is at the center of the city, close to restaurants, sights, and transport; there are also a restaurant and a bar on site.

Can't beat the location, ideal for harbour and local bars/restaurants. Hotel relatively basic, but perfectly fine. My stay coincided with a music festival in a neighbouring premise and the hotel contacted me to warn me of potential noise and disruption and offered to make alternative arrangements, however I decided to risk it and as my room was at the back, with a view of heating ducts rather than the harbour, the noise didn't bother me - the windows are well-insulated. I had a single room, which was comfortable and luxurious when compared to the cabin on the boat I'd been on for the previous week.

Hotel is a little dated, but it's an older style hotel. Nothing else, really stood out as an issue.

The hotel is in a great location. Close to the harbour, supermarkets, cafes. There is an excellent Asian restaurant on level 1, and the same place breakfast is served daily. The staff were excellent, and the room was fine. The breakfast is included, and as the Faroes are very expensive, it was great to have a lovely breakfast included in the price of the room. Overall, this hotel was a good price for the location and for the service. I'd definitely stay there again.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress was too soft. Room was small and very basic.

The location is excellent and staff was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night and did not have breakfast. Hotel is located right in the centre of Thorshavn.

The Scandinavian habit of the bathroom all being one level of floor meant it got a bit wet, as the shower was incredibly narrow. Tiny sink was an issue for me, I was there a week & had to do some laundry. No laundromats in town. Thankfully a staff member was kind enough to loan me a metal container used for dishes in the restaurant. I appreciate their ingenuity. If you’re staying as long as I did get a bigger room or consider an Airbnb or equivalent

For a small room it didn’t feel cramped if that makes sense. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast included was a nice benefit - simple but effective offering. Kettle rather than coffee maker, and a nice variety of teas.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff amazing. My room was small but comfortable enough. I had an outlook over pipes but it was quiet so that didn’t matter and I was only going to my room to sleep.

I didn't like the self check-in. No hotel should use this system. Given the price of the rooms, reception should be manned 24 hours a day. Breakfast was adequate but lacked variety.

Well located hotel near the harbour, Hotel Torshavn offers good basic accommodation in a quiet area.

A basic hotel with no frills but adequate facilities

Hotel was well situated beside the harbour and old town. It was a short walk to the shopping centre. Best value hotel accommodation with warm and comfortable rooms. The receptionist was so friendly with good local knowledge of places to visit. The Thai restaurant on the premises served excellent food.

There was no one on site staffing the front desk. I had to call a central number, which was inconvenient. I prefer to have someone to talk to in person.

The location is excellent for anyone arriving by ferry. The room was comfortable and clean, and it had a partial view of the harbor.

Nobody at reception and access procedure was not very clear. Finally solved using the phone on the front desk. Our room with port view was a little too noisy due to the road under our windows.

The part there is no staff at all and all has to be done over intercome/phone. But all our issues were resolved, so considering we received all the codes on booking in advance, we had no problems with check in.

Perfect location, we had rooms with the sea view. It does get a bit noisy during weekend. Beds are really narrow. Breakfast is ok, just could use a bit more fruit.
