“Lovely, newly renovated accommodation in very pretty grounds. The owner and staff are all delightful and helpful. It's well worth borrowing the boat or kayak to explore the river. The local town of Niort has an excellent market for fresh food and there are several places for day trips, including La Rochelle, the nearly canal network and Futuroscope. “Wonderful location. Very comfortable house for a holiday. Beautifully restored buildings in an enviable location. The two very friendly boxer dogs, "Bonnie & Clyde" walked and guided us around the domain of the Château. We used it as a base yo investigate the local region.our only regret is, we should have stayed longer. We highly recommend staying here.”
