“Breakfast was amazingly generous, and with treats and jams cooked by Dominique, who gave great advice on local sites to visit and started the water mill so we could see it operating. Fabulous views of the garden and river. Lovely to see the well-behaved, friendly dog, the ducklings and hens and the fruit trees. It is clear that nature is cherished here. The interior decor is quite eclectic. Lots of hot water, comfortable bed and sofas. Big and deep pool but we were the first visitors this year so understandably it was not filled yet. I loved it but would not have wanted to take my children there when they were young what with the fast-flowing river and mill wheel.”
