Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceIt was away from the centre and the commuting was taking a lot of time. Perhaps a better configuration in the bathroom so that it doesn't fill with water during showers.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and small additions like welcome gifts or small treats for valentine's day show their professional commitment. The room was big, comfortable and clean.

ItalyVery old untidy apartments. Not very well kept. Wardrobes and toilet furniture are damaged and old. Carpet dirty under the beds and in the kitchen area. Uncomfortable pillows.

United KingdomThe accommodation is pretty far out from the city, although the number 8 metro line is on the same street and gets you into the city in 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately for evening meals there's nothing much in the vicinity and I'm afraid we didn't feel particularly safe in the area, directly opposite there were some people living in their cars and very often a group of men hanging around which was disconcerting. Our room also backed on to a very busy motorway which was quite noisy at times. In general, this accommodation is reasonably good value for Paris, but given the choice again we probably would have opted for somewhere closer to the city and forgone the cooking facilities.
We mostly chose this accommodation due to the convenience of having a small kitchenette, and for that reason it served its purpose well. The bed was comfortable and there was a small table to eat at and a heater when it got cold.

NetherlandsShowerhead did not stay up from the beginning of our trip. I don’t understand why it’s not routine to check if these things are broken before new guests arrive. Also, there are two vents next to the window that are permanently letting in air from outside, it’s not possible to close these. because of this we had to use the electric heater pretty much constantly. This while the hotel is constantly trying to tell guests through stickers on the walls to save on energy use for environmental reasons…. The bed was fine but came with only one very uncomfortable pillow.
close to a subway station and not busy in the area. In general very friendly staff that spoke English well.

GermanyThe mould in the bathroom and air vents and the noise and pollution outside was not so great, but it is Paris, so it is what you can expect. For four people, our room was a little small and the people sleeping in the bedroom had to slimb over the pull out sofabed to get to the bathroom in the night. The furniture in the rooms was a little old and some things needed to be fixed, but that didn't bother me too much, since we weren't really hanging out in the room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and were there 24/7, which is good to have if there is an emergency. The view from our room was amazing, but the freeway close by was extremely loud and smelly and the rooms were a bit stuffy due to the insulation. Our bathroom and the air vents had mould in them, but everything else was clean, including the sheets and towels. There was an excellent bakery and supermarket close by, so it was easy to make a quick breakfast or a simple dinner in the little kitchen. The metro, tram and busses were really close. The hotel is good value for money.

FranceIs located right next to the highway, but the windows have quite good isolation. There is a big graveyard right in front of it(I didn't really mind this, but someone might). Also the hot water goes off when the quiet time begins.
Well communicated with the center, like 15 mins away, have the option to buy something to eat at the reception or cook something in the room. You can actually see the Eiffel Tower.

Czech RepublicWe were there in September so we didn´t need air conditioning. Due to the location of the hotel (next to a busy highway) it would be good to have air conditioning available on hot days.
A hotel with aperfect access to the centre of Paris. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. It is possible to buy something to eat at the hotel. Around the hotel you can find a few shops with food and restaurants.

SingaporeRooms was facing the highway which is very noisy, day or night. No aircon, only a fan provided so need to open window to allows ventilation and to cool the room during our stay in summer/July. Paris is hot in the day in July. First night stay in family room (4 persons) was not prepared for us and was dirty with wet towels on the tiolet floors and the room floor was wet. We arrived after midnight, was tired, we clean up quickily and rested for the night. We change to 2 double rooms and next day and it is ok. At the end we stayed in total 4 nights at the hotel.
The double rooms was comfortable for 2 persons. Small dry kitchen and refrigerator allows us to prepare some meals. Room was ok. Good location not far from Bercy Coach Station, using google map and travel by local bus with cash payment. For tourist on few days stays, good to buy 10 trips tickets from the train station to travel around Paris which can be use for single trip travel on bus, tram. Overall, a convenient location for a Apartment-hotel at the outskirt of Paris. Easy to visit place of attraction using buses/tram - using google map. Friendly staffs with a 24 hours reception.
