Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalOther than not having a private bathroom in the room and the location being a bit far to get to Les 2 Alpes by car it was great!
The staff was great and the price value of the stay was great!

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn't like, although WiFi in my room would have been useful; I was in the building next door, where the otherwise excellent WiFi didn't extend to.
A gorgeous, independently-run hotel at the entrance to Les Deux Alpes ski area (a short, free bus to the telecabine). Friendly, relaxed staff, and a beautiful dog too! Excellent breakfast included, consisting of muesli, bread, cheese, salami, jam. They also offer a 3-course meal in the evening, which was good, and especially so because without a car, it's a bit too far from any other eateries. Loved my stay there, and would happily return.

United KingdomNothing to comment here , the only small criticism is that our room was above the bar, which was occasionally loud late at night. This made little to no affect on our stay, but maybe noted for future.
Hotel Au Bon Accueil was the perfect combination of a family fun inviting hotel, with a quiet quaint atmosphere that welcomed all kinds of groups to stay. We stayed as a family of three for a week, we traveled to ski in Les Duex Alp , which is easily accessible via the bus and Gondola in the morning and evenings. Upon arrival we were greeted by Rose at the Vénosc station, she greeted and welcomed us into the hotel with drinks and a bonfire outside. It was the perfect setting for the start of our holiday. The hotel sits in a quiet village just outside of the ski village , overlooking a whole scene of mountains. There was no noise except the river and the birds. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore these mountains more. All the staff at the hotel really made our experience so wholesome. Flora , Rose, Elise , and Johnathon truly are the most welcoming and fun staff. Philip has created a truly wonderful holiday destination with great staff, a beautifully traditional and family friendly atmosphere. With a laid back style the bar and restaurant were a big highlight. We were lucky to have two chefs over the week who created the most delicious cuisine every evening and stayed to socialise afterwards. The whole experience was welcoming social and extremely beautiful. We cannot wait to come and visit again, hopefully both summer and winter.

FranceThe best experience in my life. We stayed in Au Bon Accueil for 6 nights with our 2 small dogs. It's one of the few hotels in this area that admits dogs. The hosts are amazing. They've made everything to make us feel welcoming and as we were at home. They even offered us to doggysit our dogs because we could find anyone to take care of them while we were skying. The breakfast was delicious and versatile. You can also have a 3-course dinner if you are not in the mood for going out and I can promise that you won't be disappointed a bit. The gondola lift that takes you to Les 2 Alpes is just 7 minutes away by car and there is a free bus that circulates during the whole day. The stop is right behind the hotel. We are already looking forward to our next stay at Au Bon Accueil.

When I arrived the manager cheerfully let me check in early - the weather was threatening. The simple and functional rooms are attractive with great Mountain Views. The food is delicious and always plentiful. The managers are always nearby. The facilities, the bar and lounge area, are welcoming and popular and facilitate meeting other guests.

NetherlandsNothing at all at the price.
Friendly staff that get to know guests individually, informal, simple rooms, excellent half board fixed menu so no need to find a restaurant or choose a dish after a long day. Fact there is no wifi or TV in rooms, poor mobile data network was IMO much appreciated... leaves you to clear your head and focus on just being in such a spectacular valley. The hotel even has bike museum and beer garden, need I say more?

GermanyThe owners and their staff are just exceptionally friendly and caring! Special requests are not only fulfilled, but taken as a challenge, to make things as good as possible (I think my gluten-free desert looked better then the original). The hotel itself has the Charme of an old wine farm or so and while it rained when I arrived, the bar and restaurant where as cosy as it can get.

AustraliaPretty much weak or no wifi (especially from the rooms). Walls and floors are thin and you can hear everybody walking and even talking from adjacent rooms. Mattress in single room was like a futon (hence, concave). Not feasible to sleep belly down. I am not fuss about this kind of stuff but there were several spider webs in my room.
This place deserve a 10 not for its standards as hotel, but for the incredible attendance and atmosphere that the host managed to create. The place is stylish and cozy, set along a cyclists route, behind les deux alpes. They grow their own veggies and they have fresh spring water right next to the hotel. It's truly a peaceful place to stay and...candle light breakfast! I mean, what an awesome touch! It's a 10 for me, just because of this, aside for the other small details, which weren't a deal breaker in my opinion.

GermanyOur room smelled extremely like mold, even after opening the windows. Maybe it came from the old carpet below the vinyl floor. The room generally felt slightly damp during our stay. In the shower was mold, too. Not comfy, but something I can accept for 1-2 nights, depending on the price, of course. We had a 1-day-Tomorrowland ticket and that was the reason we where there. For that, the price was good and I assume (hope) they do not rent this room besides the festival season 😃
The staff was very friendly. We felt instantly welcomed. Breakfast was okay. The typical things: boiled egg, ham, cheese, bread, some cereals, milk, juice, marmalades, honey, coffee. The beds are good, the rooms are warm. Very nice Wintergarden area and amazing panoramic view.
