A wonderful personal touch in a family-owned inn, that’s full of history and charm. Fantastic location. We stayed in the Modigliani room where the great artist had stayed and painted which for us was a great thrill. There were lots of little touches which made it extra special - and a well behaved dog who greeted us every morning as his best friends. We also ate at the restaurant and had an excellent meal.

Lovely room in a beautiful old building with sweeping views. The staff were attentive and very friendly, we ate there one evening and had excellent food. The room was spacious and comfortable, a really enjoyable stay, we would recommend it to anyone.

Everything in the hotel is unified with antiques and a sense of history. You can see the old town and mountains from the room. Dinner was the best deliciousness during my trip to France.

Room was rustic but had modern amenities. Staff was just so nice, even Kash the dog! Owners were very warm and approachable, gave us some pointers for our activities during our stay. We hadn’t planned on it but made a point to have breakfast there every morning. In the heart of the city, great view!

7 min walk from the Vence main bus station. This small hotel is build next to the beautiful panoramic view terrace. Three of us stayed and booked two rooms since they did not have a triple room. The room is simple and old but they kept it clean and comfortable. Also we got a room with the beautiful view. The dinner was tasty and wonderful. They took care of us well. We highly recommend this small but pleasant Auberge in Vence

Beautiful old world place with everything you need for a lovely stay. Some would be disappointed by not having a TV, but you don’t need one surrounded by the ambiance of this place. The owners run an amazing restaurant, and are friendly and welcoming.

Dinner was fantastic! Hotel is very charming with very large rooms and comfortable beds. The resident dog, Chache, was very friendly and my family enjoyed his company!

Nothing at all. There was a very high level of attention to detail and the place wasn’t just clean, it was cherished and polished to the highest degree. We loved the small table in our room with a white damask cloth and a complimentary basket of fruit. We felt like honoured guests.

We loved the slightly Germanic old fashioned charm and sheer solidity of the place, built as it is into the Mediaeval town wall. The heavy carved furnishings feel as if they have been in the same places for not just years but generations being polished and cared for. The Auberge’s location is excellent as we were visiting Vence for just one night to see Matisse’s Chapel. From the terrace viewpoint opposite the door you can see the chapel on the other side of the valley and it’s only a short walk away across a bridge.

Fantastic location and a lovely building with a great view from our spacious superior twin room. Lovely staff, very welcoming. Good basic breakfast. The restaurant is memorable with fire cooked meats available.
