Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeautifully decorated hotel with a ‘boutiquey’ feel. Everything seemed to be brand new and the rooms and common areas were spotlessly clean. Excellent location for exploring Paris on foot (or otherwise) in an upmarket area. The staff were, without exception, incredibly friendly and helpful. Honestly can’t fault this hotel - and we’ve many to compare it to! - highly recommend.

United KingdomLovely little boutique hotel with gorgeous rooms and extremely wonderful staff. I would give breakfast a miss as there not are many options. We loved this hotel so much that we booked another short stay in the summer.

RussiaBREAKFAST IS TERRIBLE. Dried cheeses, vegetables and bread, cold eggs. I lived in a room on the top floor (under the roof), on the last evening there was a wasp in my room (in November). But the receptionist helped me with it.
The hotel looks cute. The staff is great, the location and the view from the balcony are also great.

ItalyThe room is rather small, and so is the desk. It is not really a complaint, because the solution is easy - use the common areas instead of the room to sit down and work. Very little to be unhappy about.
Bonsoir Madame is a hotel in a central but relatively quiet part of Paris. If offers a small room, but an excellent place to sit down (and in my case, work) and enjoy a self-service, self-reporting bar, and has a separate sitting area. Value for money is very good, an affordable place in central Paris with a lot of comfort and very friendly staff.

RussiaThere is nothing I didn't like.
I didn't just like, I absolutely adored this place: excepteniolly friendly staff, cozy room, stylish design, great strong shower, excellent location (just at the Luxemburg garden, 5 min walk from the metro station, 1 min walk to the bus station, lots of nice restaurants just near by). A small water boiler in a room and a free water refiller at the reception were a nice bonus. Even in a room without a terrace you can open windows and enjoy a nice view to the traditional Houseman house, for example. Thank you, dear Bonsoir Madame team, for a great 3 days' stay, from me and my mom!

MaltaAlthough the room descriptions specify the size of the room, you don’t realize just how small the room actually is until you are in it. However, the hotel offered to store our unpacked luggage throughout the stay which gave us a little more space in the room (as otherwise we would have had absolutely no space to move around). Another thing which I feel the room could really benefit from is a towel warmer/form of heater in the bathroom, as given the cold temperatures in the winter, the towels would just not dry and the bathroom was freezing.
The location was great - easy access to several metros and a quiet yet central area. m The room was super clean and bed was comfortable.

IsraelAlthough we were aware beforehand that the rooms are small, we were appalled to discover that our room (a Superior Double Room) is virtually tiny. Perhaps it is enough for a couple staying only for a night or two with little luggage, but if you are planning to stay for a week or more then you will very soon feel cramped up and claustrophobic with no space to move around, even more so if you have a few pieces of luggage to store in the room. On the other hand, the bathroom was quite comfortable with ample space. Although the room was cleaned every day, changing of used cups and glasses as well as replenishing of amenities (toilet paper etc.) was haphazard. It would take you about 7 minutes to walk the distance to the nearest Metro station. It is not a very long distance but may be a challenge on a cold and rainy day.
The most noteworthy asset of the hotel is its staff - all were friendly, cooperative and gracefully willing to accommodate all our requests. The location, two minute's walking to the entrance of Jardin de Luxemburg is a plus. Breakfast was good and with a decent selection of food, although it never changes so if you are staying for a week or more, it becomes boring. Also, it lacks any kind of vegetable. The hotel's décor is pleasant and elegant, providing a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

United StatesThe rooms were a little small which was to be expected. They could have had better utilization of space (i.e. more wall hangers for towels since there was only 1 in the bathroom) or maybe some economical space savers for luggage etc. This was not a big deal but just minor inconvenience for a hotel of this caliber. The price was little high with all things considered compared to similar accommodation in the area that were priced lower.
We liked how quaint and cozy this boutique hotel was. Our room with terrace had a great view of Paris and was really enjoyable to sit and have a cup of coffee. The hotel offers a free 30 minute booking for their private spa which includes a dry sauna and steam room which was truly awesome. The beds were comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was a great touch. The breakfast was really good but the price was a little steep ($18 per person). If you need breakfast early (before 10am) it is a great option, otherwise the cafes nearby open at 10am and offer better prices. The common rooms were a nice place to relax and read as well.

Chinaroom was very small (but common in that area), parking very expensive (75euro on the street for max 6 hours, evening/night for free and about 45 euro per day in the nearby garage). breakfast good, but a bit expensive considering the fantastic cheaper boulangerie options in the area.

United StatesWhere to begin. I almost don’t want to write an amazing review because the secret will be out. I met other Americans who have been to paris many times and said they won’t stay anywhere else. From the staff to the room, it was all spot on. We fell in love with the location. Being able to come back to a quiet area after touristy chaos was the best decision we made. Special thanks to Wesaal (sp?) who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. We will never forget him and will be back asap.
