The location has an amazing view — although be warned that it is uphill and it's a pretty steep walk! The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean. Keep in mind that the accommodation is very basic. Still, it's perfectly adequate if your goal is to see the city.

You have to walk a lot of stairs to get to and from the center but there are buses you can take

pillow was too small, check out at 10am, noisy in the morning

I would have liked to be able to stay in the room until midday because I had an afternoon flight but they said I had to vacate at 10 am. However, they kindly allowed me to leave my luggage in the storeroom and collect it later.

My room was at the 3rd floor with a view on the Ancient Theater and Odéon ruins, it was beautiful. The room was clean, pleasant, and it was quiet. The hotel is at an excellent location, with the Notre-Dame de Fourvière very close, and the Lugdunum museum right in front of the hotel.

The view of Lyon from my room was wonderful. I really enjoyed the people who work there. I have to give a special thank to the girl and woman who helped me in a moment of personal crisis, they were really kind and encouraging to me.

Since it's on a hill, it can be tiring to have to go up and down every time you go out. If I can point out something missing for the room to be perfect, would be a Minibar.

Great location, nice view of the Théâtre Gallo Romain, close to the cathedral and the old town. Room very clean and comfortable. A great deal.

You can basically hear everything in the hallway so beware if you're a light sleeper. I could hear my neighbors opening their doors late and night and early in the morning. Also, the funicular stops running at 11pm and it's quite a hike up at that time of night so you'd either have to be willing to do it or take a cab/uber if you stay out past that time.

LOVED Centre Jean Bosco! The location is amazing - awesome views of all of Lyon and right across from the Gallo-Roman Theater and Museum and right by the beautiful Fourvière basilica. The staff was so helpful, accommodating, and kind. Transportation was easy enough with a funicular that stops a couple of minutes away. The room and bathroom were also really nice. I was really impressed and pleasantly surprised by this place and the value, given their low prices.

By night the area was very silence and with little tourists and people hanging around. It keeps its quietness..

I like the landmark of the centre that I believe was that one desidered by Jean Bosco, hence, the hospitality for no matter which person

Depending on your plans it's important to know, that the funiculaire to Fourviere which is the closest station only runs until 10 in the evening. It's a nice walk but also quite a hike.

My room had an amazing view! The surrounding of the building is super calm and close to the older city and it's important sites. Check in and out was easy and the reception staff very nice.

The hallway leading to the guest rooms has a beautiful view of the city and at 2am a party of 3-4 decided to stop sit and enjoy the city lights while conversing, we’ll that bleeds into the guest room quite easily and woke us up. A big shhh shut them up but it did ruin a solid nights sleep.

Basically a brand new room, in great condition as it’s been recently renovated.

The Centre Jean Bosco offers first-class accommodation in a privileged location overlooking the Roman theatre and the whole city. It's great value for money and also "feels" good in a spiritual way.

Blanket on the bed was little bit dirty. No hairdryer

The view was perfect. The room was clean.

The only negative was their pillows are paper thin.

I loved that it was cheap and safe for a single female traveler. The staff were very kind held my luggage and answered all my questions. Keep in mind the vote is right in the city but at the top of the city so you have to either take the tram or get a car there. (Tram stops going uphill at 11pm).
