Charming, beautifully restored chateau run by charming, helpful Olivier and Olga. Fabulous, spacious rooms and beautiful grounds. Some of the facilities were a little old-fashioned but this added to the charm. Will definitely return.

We visited during a hot spell in the summer and there is no AirCon or fans. Which is generally not a problem but there are no screens in the windows and the mosquitoes were incredibly bothersome. Not maybe the best place for a good night‘s rest in July!

A nice place that has been carefully renovated.

    Nothing

Great location away from the crowd with loads of character inside and out, set in large area of local wine growing country. With plenty of room to exercise our two dogs, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, especially as we arrived quite late.

Delightful stay in an authentic chateau with the bonus of being a short walk into town.

Nothing that we didn't like but if you are the susceptible to insect bites then bring something to keep them away or keep the window shut. We left the window open on the first night which was an invitation to mosquitos to come in and look for us! We didn't make the same mistake on the second night.

Lovely chateau which is just a small walk into town. Not sure what year the property dates from but everything about it was perfect for us as we like to stay in authentic period properties which have a nice ambiance and it deosn't matter if the odd fitting is a bit quirky or a floorboard creeks. The hosts were charming and very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

The bed was too hard to my taste. Breakfast is simple, but okay.

the building is simply beautiful, a lot of effort is put in restoring it to the grandeur of old times. The garden is wonderful and swimmingpool with hottub a lot of fun!

    nothing.

Very authentic experience in the heart of beautiful Fleurie. The owner is a very charming and friendly host. A sophisticated man who is a composer and a musician. We had an absolutely beautiful suite, with a separate bathroom and toilet. The bed was a very comfortable four poster bed with luxury cushions, excellent four a good night sleep. Breakfast was typical French. A perfect croissant, with quality butter and the best baguette! The jams are to die for. We stayed 3 nights in Chateau de la Chapelle and totally enjoyed it. We definitely stay here again next time in Fleurie given its very close proximity to the centre of Fleurie. The château offers also plenty free parking spaces. Always handy! I’m looking forward to stay here again.

The location, the furniture, the pool, the atmosphere. The friendliness of the owners. Realy worth stay over, amid the Beaujolais vineyards. Don't hesitate to walk one mile uphill towards the chapel de la Madone. The view on the Saône valley is breathtaking .

As expected with an old building it was quite noisy, toilet of neighbours was attached to our bedroom so you could hear the neighbours with their toilet/bathroom rituals. The breakfast was below expectations, only sweet stuff, no choice of what you wanted to eat.

Great location, friendly owner, nice old building with charm, spacious, easy and free parking. Castle experience was fun.

As expected from an old building, there's no sound isolation between the rooms and a lot of squeeking sounds when you walk around. We found it quite charming and not really a problem, but it's a good idea to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Very romantic old chateau managed by a lovely couple. We stayed in the Marie-Antoinette suite, which was enormous and beautifully decorated with antique furniture. Wifi worked well and there's a nice pool outside, but otherwise no modern facilities. The bathroom was nice and clean. Standard French breakfast with baguette, croissants and jam that we could enjoy outside.

This was our second stay at this chateau, which is conveniently located for the restaurant in Fleurie, in the heart of Beaujolais. Our room was very spacious. We requested a fan for the room, which was provided.

In 2022, the establishment refused to accept payment by card. This wasn’t written anywhere during the booking process nor highlighted on my booking.com reservation. I am not sure it is legal to oblige payment method today with no warning. I would not have booked it should I have known this.

    It’s a pretty establishment.

There was not one floorboard in the hotel that did not squeak. Ditto the doors. Child running about in nearby room was not condusive to sleep, to say the least. There was no shower so the bathroom floor got drenched from the hand-held shower head. This is an old hotel furnished to suit the period but there are limits!

Mine host was quite jovial. Breakfast was adequate. NO TV, thank God!
