A royal experience at the Pape Clement Chateau. Every corner is a museum inside the castle. The bedroom is super vintage and traditional which matches the vibe with a beautiful window overseeing the garden. The modern bathroom has everything you need. We really enjoyed the tour with David, he was very helpful, and later Sebastien. It’s amazing to see Picasso’s art inside the castle, Napoleon’s handwritten letter, and the 1000s year old tree outside the garden. The breakfast was lovely, and the wine tour and tasting (inclusive in the stay).

The decor, the welcoming, the wine - everything is sophisticated yet friendly. We loved to chill in the garden, order a quiet dinner and read in the room. Excellent bath & body products and towels.

Pessac is not the liveliest or prettiest of towns but it is well located for Bordeaux or the Arcachon basin

Would have liked access to a refrigerator, but this is very minor concern.

The property is stunning, the room was large and comfortable with a few of the front gardens. Breakfast was delicious, but the thing that made our stay exceptional was the staff. Maelle greeted us and was warm and informative, she continued to be attentive throughout our stay and made it even more special. Every single staff member made you feel welcome and like no ask was an issue at all. We felt like we were staying at a friend's home. Just outstanding!

This place is really beautiful. You need to come to check out personally. They conduct tours & wine tasting if you are not staying in the Chateau. And the thousands years old olive tree, hug it! The staffs were super helpful, attentive always ready to help.

My friend and I really wanted to stay in a Chateau during our trip to the Bordeaux area, and Chateau Pape Clement exceeded our expectations. Every staff member was incredibly helpful and kind. We loved the traditional furniture, decor, skeleton room keys, floors, crown molding, etc. Our room faced east and we were able to watch the sunrise over the vineyards each morning. Beautiful! We also loved the rooftop where we enjoyed a glass of wine and the views.The breakfast was lovely as well. We were not able to do the tour/tasting here as the times conflicted with our other wine tour, so that was a bummer, but we had a great couple of nights here and would recommend to others.

It was a very cold night and the room was a bit cold despite the heater being turned on. Extra blankets in the armoire would be nice.

Incredibly beautiful, fascinating historical items throughout the Chateau and winery, wonderful staff. Loved the wine tour/tasting included with the room. We were upgraded as we were the only ones at the property and the room was beyond impressive! Breakfast was delicious and they were able to have it ready early for us as we had to get to the airport early. Having the privilege of meeting Monsieur Magrez was pretty cool! Highly recommend staying here! Close to the airport as well. We’ll definitely return!

Nothing except that the rooms are not sound proof since they are old chateau

The receptionists Natalie is a very helpful and she is a very strong lady. Helped us with huge big luggages and carried out from car to the hotel Another receptionist for the afternoon shift (forgot her name but bespectacled) was equally helpful and strong and brought up our luggage to the second floor. No lift cos it is a chateau, both receptionists are great at multi tasking. Besides a Receptionist , they are undertake restaurant service role. For dinner we took the degustation dinner with wine. We were privilege that as a group of 5, dinner was hosted in the main dining room with elaborate cutlery. The wine pairing is also gd serving the better grade wine . Wine tour was well conducted.

This without a doubt made our French holiday magic. This beautiful Chateau is warm & inviting - perfectly balanced by the staff, - especially Anne & David. Everyone made us feel so at home. Fabulous food wine & ambience. If you are heading for Bordeaux..do yourself a favour & make a beeline for Chateau Prpe Clement - a beautiful place with the best staff you could wish for. Love to all

As the property passed down from generation to generation, some of the decor and furnishing may need to be updated. For example, design of shower screen at the bathtub is on the opposite side of the shower head, making it difficult to contain the water within the bathtub. We would have prefer having a separate shower space. We also could not get on the wifi for the whole stay no matter where we are in the property.

The property was gorgeous. You really felt that you were living in a castle. The antiques, the art pieces, the decor, the garden and the surrounding vineyard all made the experience worthwhile. The staff were also very nice and helpful.

Wish the bathtub had a holder for the shower nozzle. 😆 But it's also a multi color lighted jacuzzi! Don’t forget about trying that!

One of my most favorite hotel in the world! Really! Amazing quality chef/restaurant!! This chateau is a real MUSEUM! The artifacts it contains is shocking!! It has Napoleon and Josephines chairs amongst soo much more! Of course it's a beautiful property. It also has some nightlife BBQ events on certain night. Amazing staff! Maelle was magic for us. All the rooms are completely different. One room is ALL red! Might not be everyones taste but I plan to stay in that one next time! It's also one of the biggest. The room in the turret is the best room. Huge bathroom. There is also a little room that I wouldn't want to stay in. Honestly my favorite hotel in the world! Price is not bad for what you get.
