Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere were three of us and the room could have been a little bigger
The friendliness of the staff welcome on arrival was very good and we were given options for restaurants in the area. Whenever we asked for information the staff were very accommodating.

BelgiumRooms are a bit small, but then this is Paris. Shower and toilet, clean but small.
Super friendly and accommodating staff. Nice location in a great quartier with all amenities within walking distance. Great little brasserie at the corner, too.

United KingdomThe room was very small, but I guess that is to be expected in Paris. There was constant noise from the road below. The staff kindly offered to move us. If you are a light sleeper would suggest asking to be as far from the road as possible when you book. It seemed odd to charge €10 for small box of cotton pads, buds etc as even in basic hotels these are usually complimentary. (The bathroom would look a lot cleaner if limescale/slime was cleaned from around taps and overflow).
It was in a lively area and near to the metro station. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The daily room service was good and efficient.

United KingdomThe bathroom was particularly small however was expected being in Paris. Housekeeping didn’t refill tea and coffee.
The staff were friendly and accommodating and spoke good English. The room was clean and comfortable with a good strong shower. The hotel is also in a great location, with two metro stations within 5 mins walking distance, and a 15 min walk from the basilica and the artist’s square in Montmarte. It’s a great place to experience the art, culture and architecture of Paris.

PolandThe room wasn't ready at check in, so I had to wait in the lobby for over an hour.
Everything was great apart from the fact that the room wasn't ready upon arrival.

SpainBathroom was smaller than expected, but the room overall was okay. However, our room was next to the elevator so at some times it was a bit noisy.
The staff is really nice and provide support 24/7. The breakfast was also quite good and exceeded our expectations. Rooms are confortable and cozy.

Spainit’s a little tight and small; I think it was a tad expensive but maybe it’s paris, not the property itself
well the location is marvelous, close to the metro in Montmartre and barely q 12 min walk from moulin rouge

United StatesI loved everything about this hotel especially feeling like we were amongst Parisians and close to the Sacre Couer, which is my favorite Paris building. The only thing we didn't love was a little more hills for walking but close to the Metro.
Very nice hotel that had a great breakfast and very stylish. The front desk was great!

BelgiumAforementioned room size wasn't ideal, but otherwise a perfectly reasonable stay.
The hotel is well located and convenient to the metro, in addition to not being far from the center. It's just enough for a weekend stay with two, though the cheapest room is quite small. Fairly clean and in a nice part of town.

United StatesThe bathroom was so tiny that is difficult to so much as turn around without bumping into something, even for a small person. The shower, however, is a nice size.
The entire hotel was very clean - the lobby, the hallways, the room, the bathroom. The bedding and towels were a nice quality. The desk staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They provided directions, assisted in printing our flight boarding passes, and booked a shuttle to the airport.

RomaniaI didn’t like the fact that our first room was very small and crowded, you didn’t have the space to walk from a side of the bed to the other, but it’s fine if you are planning to visit Paris all day long.
I loved that it was very close to the metro station and a bakery where you could buy some snacks for the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Moreover, we had our room cleaned every day which is a good thing.

Friendly welcome and very helpful staff. Nice room, clean facilities and all great value for money. Near the metro so only took 20 mins or so to get to the centre of Paris and in a nice location. Boulangerie and cafe pretty much opposite. Air con worked well but was quiet too.

GermanyLike in many places in Paris, the room was pretty small, with little more space than the bed itself and a small desk. Also, it needs some acrobacy to manage the bathroom, so be prepared to keep it cosy :-)
Nice location in a quiet and residential neighbourhood behind Montmartre. So you’re 10min walking distance from the crowds at Sacré Coeur, but can enjoy the true charme of Paris with authentic cafés, restaurants and boulangeries just outside the door. Also, it’s a 3min walk from the next Metro station. The Hotel itself is quiet nice, offering everything you need - not much more, but not less either. Staff was nice and we slept perfectly fine. We’d definitely come back!
