SwitzerlandI had dinner twice at the restaurant, the food was very good. However, the manager of the restaurant was very arrogant and unprofessional. When I asked him for recommendations during my 2nd visite, he was looking around the entire time, when I reminded him how important to look at people while talking, he said that he was checking on others ( there were 2 tables and 3 staff). As I made the decision for my beverage, instead of bring me the red wine i had asked, he bought me a different bottle with a-glass leftover inside, saying that he wanted to offer me a free glass. I refused this offer as clearly, he didn’t listen what I was looking for in terms of wine characteristics, it seemed that he really wanted to get ride off the bottle. As a restaurant manager, I found him extremely unprofessional, in this case with me. Because when I observed him when waiting other European clients, he was very different. Perhaps, racism has not yet been overcome. Again this is my resonance point of view ( being an Asian)
The location is up on hill, surrounded by nature. There is a beautiful terrace and an outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately both were closed due to cold weather . The room was very spacious and clean, bed was comfortable.

Overall well acceptable. Staff were very friendly explained everything you need to know. Restaurant are also very good. Chef grow almost everything at the backward of the hotel. Curtainly, no chemical added. During our coffee in the morning at our terrace we saw Chef at the garden and have chance to talk to him.

Character and charm which is hard to compare with newer hotels, the aged look of the grounds is like a storybook. A treasured experience to consider when booking in Evian. Quiet location, very relaxing.
