Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was little or no cupboard space for hanging clothes in the rooms. The air conditioning control unit could not be turned off in one room so my friend had to put up with cold conditions in the room. There is a constant rumbling noise (less prevalent during the night) from the Metro system for which the Hotel provided earplugs. The in-house breakfast arrangements were temporarily disrupted owing to re-decoration, but we had been forewarned about this. The Hotel provided breakfast vouchers (we had to ask for them) for a nearby café.
This 2-star boutique hotel was conveniently located equi-distant between two metro stations: Saint Germain Des Pres and Saint Sulpice. The rooms we occupied (Nos 24 and 25) are “compact and bijou”. The rooms were serviced each day and fresh towels provided.

IrelandThe bathroom door was a sliding door and didn’t latch therefore it didn’t offer much privacy. There was a metro I believe underneath the property so you could hear it sometimes but it wasn’t too loud either.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was extremely clean as well. Location was perfect. Really nice cafe restaurants and shops nearby and transport links or able to walk places. 24 hour reception as well so felt safe.

Room was small but quite enough for a single traveler. I had lived some issue about sink but they solved the problem quickly. Except this experience room was very clean. Hotel employees were very kind and helpful.

United StatesAll hotels in Paris are expensive, especially with the upcoming Olympics 2024, however, this one is a bit too dear. Newly renovated. There is a regular rumbling noise that goes on all night (I imagine it to be an underground metro line directly under the hotel). Certain items are missing: Needs a luggage rack (without one your wheelie is on the floor). Needs a towel hook in the bathroom. Needs a small throw-rug near the bed (the floor is a clean but sterile wood-patterned linoleum that collects street dirt from your shoes, so you can inadvertently track it into bed with you).
Great central location, close to several Metro stations. Many great restaurants and cafes nearby. It's a fine location in the 6th, and everything is walkable from there. The 2-person small elevator makes getting your bags up to your room easy. The hotel is newly renovated, so a few problems will surely be corrected shortly.

United KingdomHonestly nothing! You do hear the metro train from time to time, but to be honest wherever you stay around here there’s no avoiding it. It didn’t spoil our stay at all. Hotel has some decoration work happening at the moment, but didn’t spoil our stay.
Really good hotel in a great location. Few minutes walk from the metro and close to shops, cafes and everything else you might need! Staff were excellent- very polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

ItalyThe room is quite small. The elevator is very tiny. You can feel the building vibrating due to the metro. There is not really a common area.
The location is great. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is friendly. For 1-2 nights for solo traveller or couples it's good value for money.

FranceThere is really nothing not to like. It's a simple, small hotel.
This a hotel that is good for a single traveler or a couple who are traveling light and just need a place to sleep for a couple of days. The rooms are very small, but they are clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were clean and the shower had good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. The location is great to move around the city quite easily. There are some nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. The metro is a short walk from the hotel. You can hear noise from other rooms quite easy and some noises from outside, but it's normal in the city in an old hotel.

LuxembourgThe "double bed" is just two twin beds put together, which meant they kept sliding off during the night. It was a little loud during the night, even with the windows closed.
