How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Restaurants overpriced (15€ for a child portion of French fries at the pool). Eggs have to be ordered at breakfast as an extra.
Magnificent location and property. Golf course is a real plus 🏌️♂️ Great for families

No milk in room for coffee. I'm they would have bought some, I just forgot to ask.
Possibly the finest hotel we have ever stayed at. From first arrival, all the staff were exceptional. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Room was upgraded to cater for my wife's disability. We were driven back and forth to the circuit everyday and made to feel like very special VIPs. Fantastic weekend. Real 5* luxury.

If only breakfast would have been included free, our stay would have been perfect.
The hotel and its spa met all our expectations. At check-in, we were upgraded to a quiet, lovely room on the second floor of a villa with a view of the beautiful grounds. We really enjoyed the spa with its pool, sauna and hamam.

I would have loved to know in advance about the 24h race at le circuit. Because of the non stop noise I couldn’t sleep. Next time would be nice to let clients knows about it. Otherwise everything else was absolutely perfect !

The food and drinks were a little bit on the expensive side compared to other 5 star hotels that we have stayed at.
The hotel was exquisite. Exactly what I was expecting from a 5 star hotel. The staff were welcoming, the food was amazing and the location next to the Paul Ricard circuit was ideal for our racing weekend. I just wish we had more time to spend in the hotel to use the facilities.

We have calculated with the very high prices. But there had been some smaller problems. We ordered two times reservation for dinner at the bistro directly and via phone on the reception. The manager of the bistro had no information about it. Good luck for us, he could offer us a free table. We used up shampoo and shower gel after the second night. It was not replaced during the day. We ordered it subsequenty by phone at the reception. They promissed, but did not deliver. And last but not least the ordered help with the luggage came late or did not come at all (we don´t know.) We went with our luggage to the car without support. We think, there is a problem with communication of the services, which is not acceptable for such a high level resort.
Resort, quality of most of all servises, restaurant, breakfast, cleanness - everthing perfect. We liked very much the privat and silent atmosphere. The pesonal was friendly. The hotel is excelent for relax, also for non golf players.

The best staff. Whether it is at the spa, the pool, the reception or the restaurant, the staff is always amazing! Breakfast great as well, with amazing golf views.

I have been very fortunate to stay at many amazing 5 star Hotels and at €900 per night, our deluxe suite at this hotel was 'comfortable' but nothing beyond that. The restaurant and bar staff were very nice but the quality of food was a bit disappointing. We did however only eat in Felice and not the Gastronomic restaurant. We didn't use the spa or fitness area, which looked nice from what we could see, but we did use the tennis court which was a rather frustrating 45 minutes spent trying to hit a ball that would bounce in different directions after hitting numerous bumps in the court surface. Such a shame as the setting of the court is very nice. With the hotel set beside the racetrack there is also an occasional drone of cars during the day. This didn't actually bother us but it might be a blight on poolside serenity for some.
The hotel setting is very nice and overall it is sharp, clean and well presented. The bar and pool area are lovely with amazing views toward the coast.
