How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The two single beds are too soft.
Good location and has nice staff, the space is larger than expected. The bathroom is very clean.

Location is amazing, it’s in the street of By Redo on Rue de Saint Honore. Super central. Interiors are very cool, modern and new. Jien from the reception helped a lot.

the breakfast had an abundant choice, and very lovely taken care of. However: I am not a big eater in the morning and I only chose 1 yaourt and 1 croissant with a coffee; €22 (1p) then a little bit expensive.
perfect location; great room; it was good to have a separate bath and shower; all very clean, new and well maintained, beautifully decorated. everything is being taken care of (good products in the bathroom). Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast. I love that the windows can be opened otherwise room very hot. good shops and restaurants around the corner.

Hotel was in an excellent location a few blocks from the Louvre and Tuileries, but on a side street so quiet. The room itself was exceptionally comfortable and clean. Staff could not have been more lovely and helpful. Was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and it had everything we needed. Would definitely come back for future trips.

Our room had very poor wifi - due to its location - while the other room had great. So depends on location of the room. Also our heating/cooling either didn't work or was turned off due to the time of year (December). Either way the rooms got hot in the evening when trying to sleep and it would have been nice to have the option to have the cool the room down. We did open the windows which worked, but could not sleep with them open due to the location of the blinds.
We loved staying at Hotel Montana. We stayed over Christmas and had two rooms ( a twin and king). Room size is good for the middle of Paris and the hotel is in a perfect location, not even a 5min walk to the Louvre. Many shops and restaurants in the area. The rooms were very comfortable - bed was superb - and recently renovated and styled in a beautiful modern/comfortable way. We were highly impressed. The shower was also great. Breakfast was lovely, very tasty and nicely presented. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Not a big deal to me, but they lack room service, you can always order from uber eats or any similar app.
Great location, with fantastic service, and it will be my hotel when I'm back in Paris. Also, an important thing to mention in this hotel is the staff who always welcomed us and helped us with everything we needed, and the new manager is simply outstanding!

The pillows are not comfortable. The shower water pressure is below average for the area.
The room size is big for Parisian standards. Comfortable stay for 3 people in one room. The bathroom size is also great with the bath and shower and the products offered are high standard. Hotel looks great and reception offers "spa water", fruits and coffee 24/7.
