Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOur room was on the first floor without the balcony,while other rooms has balconies,we got charged 10 eur a night for parking but it was saying on many reviews and even on information leaflet in our room that it’s free but it wasn’t,other than that if we would had a room with balcony plus free parking our score would be 10!

EstoniaWiFi was bad and died multiple times, hotel was already aware of this issue if there are many people in hotel. In a big city like cannes I believe there should be fiber connection available and wouldn't hurt the hotel to invest a little bit money for better network devices.
Secure courtyard parking (suits for cars with roofboxes). Simple breakfast, ok for value (crossaints, coffee, apple, juice and jam, nutella, some cheese).

GermanyGreat value for money. The service was really good, the staff very friendly and the breakfast delicious. The hotel has a great location. The area is very quiet and it takes about 12 minutes to walk to the harbour and the centre. We were very satisfied and our expectations were exceeded.

ItalyWe arrived late night (around 23) and no one was at the reception to do a proper check in. We didn’t receive any guide message about how to make a self check in or open a front door, so we called the number at the main door and talked with an owner (probably). Only Italian or French. He was sure that no reservation was made but after a while we finally could find a solution (as he was checking a reservation from another hotel). In the room were no towels, but we got them in the morning. Overall, nothing serious happened, but it was not comfortable trying to convince hotel stuff that we actually made a reservation. So, be aware of late arrival and better to confirm a check in time before.
Nice location (close to the center), there are some private parking spots next to the hotel, stuff overall was friendly

The hotel is really central and everything is within a 5 minute walk, there are free private parking spaces (just ask for them before you arrive if they are available), the people working there were really friendly and the breakfast was also good. All in all a really it had a great price to performance ratio

RomaniaBefore ariving at Esperanto I requested a parking spot for a couple of days. They told me that they added a note in my check in and I ll have the parking spot. When I got there they opened the gate and let me park, as the parking area was private. Next day I left the hotel and discussed with one of the receptionists. He told me that as long as I come before 11pm, I’ll have where to park. However, I got back around 10:30pm and the other receptionist told me that the parking area is full and there is no place to park. So I had to search for a public park, pay 16 euros and come back to the hotel by foot. It was not a nice experience. So if you wanna park there and want to come back later in the night, do a double check with the receptionist that you ll still have a parking spot.
The room was clean and the hotel is centrally located ( 10 minutes walk from the train station ). The personnel was friendly and open to help ( except one situation )
