Lovely quaint old house… just off the motorway, great for an overnight stop off. It’s not fancy but everything you need to cook a meal. Home from home. Family room was ideal. Room full of character.

It was rather dark and not quite warm enough. There didn’t seem to be a way of controlling the heating to make it warmer.

We thought that we could order breakfast there for 8 Euros, but that was not the case. The webpage description of the place was not what we interpreted it to be.

The room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was OK, the private kitchen was basic. The communal kitchen cooking facilities were good. There was a lot of sitting space there as well.

The gite was comfortable and it was good staying with other couples. For us the location was perfect beautifully rural but no shops or restaurants in the village.

Nathalie gave as a tin of ravioli as we were starving and there’s no restaurant in the vacinity. A life saver!

Clean and comfortable, characterful old building in a very quiet town just off the autoroute so convenient for an overnight stay on a drive to the Alps but might also make a good touring base. Large kitchen and dining room (shared) and some outdoor space. Good secure parking

We had to wash crockery and glassware before use. Minor point but would have been better to have bed linen ironed before use.

There was no TV at all. Not an issue for an overnight stay like ours, but a surprising omission nonetheless. The 2 other rooms are seperate lets so the main kitchen & lounge is shared with other travellers. No rpoblem for us, but again, some might not like that

Roomy comfortable 3 bedroom Gite with excellent kitchen and all the facilities normally expected, and then some. Decor is 'eclectic' ranging from modern to slightly dated with both period & new touches - interesting but maybe not to all tastes? Very convenient for the N/S motorway and 10 miles from the local City, Bar and the Ardennes Forest

Quiet, clean and perfect for sitting the long journey up through France, leaving a 4 h drive to Calais.

The kitchen is not that clean that was a bit disappointing. Also when booking I didn't realize the bathroom was not en suite, however it was not a problem as we were the only guests in the house that night.

The violet room is nice and spacious. We had a good night rest there and the beds are comfortable. We used the oven and the kitchen to have a pizza as I think we were the only guests that night. It was a good place to stay for a one night stop for a long journey.

Fixtures and fitting a little dated but still functional. Private bathroom down the corridor but not a real issue. Some noise from other guests arriving very late at night but can’t be helped by the host. Would still stay again.

Value for money and a perfect place to stop on our journey to Calais. Very close to the motorway and situated in a lovely village. The kitchen was well equipped and we brought our own food after reading previous reviews informing us there are no local amenities.

No big issues. Two small ones: No stores in the village to buy bread in the morning just a machine - if you want a boulangerie you need to travel ~15KM. The private bathroom is not adjacent to the room and you need to pass through a communal hallway.

Very comfortable stay close to the highway. Beautiful house. We stayed one night on the way to the south. Perfect place to stay if you're looking for a night's stay close to the highway while traveling.
