Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaRoom was really small. We had to go to bed across our luggage. But as we were almost every time in the city it was not huge problem for us.
Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Perfect location, right next to the subway.

United KingdomThe rooms were quite small, but that's to be expected in Paris. The only very minor thing, particularly solo travellers may like to be aware of is there was no way to lock the room internally.
The hotel was excellently located, in walking distance to bars restaurants and some popular attractions and very close to the metro station to access the rest of the city. The staff were very nice and accommodating and did their best to try and help with any requests. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Paris. The rooms were also very clean.

FinlandThere was only two things that I wasn’t the most pleased about our stay at the hotel: 1. There was this constant rumbling and thudding sound coming and going. The only thing I could think about it being is the underground train passing the hotel. But after the first night you did get used to it. 2. It seemed like there wasn’t a sufficient air vents in the bathroom. The room was super humid our whole stay, we kept the ac on and tried to keep the window open as well sometimes. But every time we stepped back into the room after coming from the hallway we were hit with a wall of humid air.
The staff was the friendliest customer service I got in all of Paris! The hotel is located very close to the Luxembourg station, but you can also easily walk around. For example the Louvre is just 30 minute walk away. There’s also a grocery store almost next door which was convenient! The hotel is very clean and modern looking. The room was on the smaller side, but still very functional for two people. Our room was on the third floor with a view to the street.

GreeceOnly minus I can find is that the room was extremely small; basically a bed with a small room around it.
The personnel is very kind and speaks perfect english. Will assist you with every need that arises. The breakfast is very good and though not very varied, everything was super-tasty. The hotel is based very centrally close to Luxemburg gardens, to the Pantheon, and less than 1km from Notre Dame. The room was very quiet and clean.

United StatesThe room didn't have a microwave or a refrigerator, so I wasn't able to store or heat all kinds of food. The rooms should have refrigerators.
I liked the location, as it was in the Latin Quarter near the Luxembourg Gardens. There were nearby attractions like the Pantheon, as well as many convenient stores.

Lebanonthe rooms in the upper floor don't have an elevator access and the stairs are round and narrow. It was a hassle for us to get our luggage to our room and there was no one from the hotel to help us.

CanadaIf you’re on the 6th floor there is no elevator past the 5th. They offered to help with my bag but I was okay. The bathroom had a sloping roof which meant that at just 5’4” the shower was still a tight fit for me. Not sure how anyone larger would fit. Only got a bottle of water on first night and no tea/coffee facilities in room.
Charming hotel, on a busy street in central location, so perfect for exploring but also quiet at night (aside from other guests but that’s not hotel’s fault). Room was lovely - clean and comfortable but small. Staff were excellent and the breakfasts were so good! AC in rooms

CanadaThe 15 euro breakfast was pricey for what we got. Tried it once. Not to put the onus on this hotel, but I wish more hotels offered self-service laundry. We had to wash laundry in the sink, but again, I'm NOT holding it against just this hotel. We packed compactly.
Room was good value, staff courteous and friendly (good for those who don't speak French, although I managed with my proficient level of French). About a 20-minute walk to the Seine (for those who are good walkers, we were a little older so Line B Metro/train got us there, or to the main transfer point).
