How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

cozy rooms. bed mattress can be better. only few rooms have a good mattress, but it is manageable, and staff supports in changing them.
great location by the sea. very windy and pleasing. walkable to city center and local taxis easily available. one can definitely prefer this hotel to save money and enjoy a cozy comfort instead of spending more in a fancy hotel.

We were grateful the hotel had a lift as we suffer with knee problems. Unfortunately the lift didn’t work! We got stuck and it was a bit scary but we were soon rescued by staff.
This was a lovely hotel, nicely decorated and clean. Bed was comfy and decor tasteful. The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choice. The hotel don’t provide food or drinks apart from coffee but there are nice restaurants nearby so not a problem. Would happily stay again!

The room got a bit too hot but that could be because of the unusual heat outside.
Great breakfast, cozy room, nice staff and clear instructions for the door if you got back to the hotel after staffing hours.

We had a large comfortable room in this hotel. Our bikes were stored in a locked fence area. We had a small problem with our sink, and the owner went to a lot of trouble to repair it. The breakfast was excellent.

It is know 24h Reception and good to no the check in Times which are incorrect in the Booking.com information.
Nice cosy Hotel.Rooms with Charme old but working. Breakfast fresh and good.

Room was very small which is ok but also the bed was small. I did no like the bathroom very much, quite old and not renovated. It was also quite loud because of the harbour and ferry just across.
Very nice breakfast, very near to the bus station. You can easily reach the hotel by bus coming from the train station. In general a cosy place.

The view of the car park from the ground floor room but staying just across from the ferry terminal was also plus!
Good location to take the ferry to Ven island. Friendly staff. Spacious and confortable room. Good breakfast.

Nothing in particular. It just does not stand out from other hotels, either in a good or bad way.
Nice and friendly staff. Dedicated locked storage for bikes. Rooms were clean. Hotel is located right along the bike trail "Sydkustleden" which runs along the west coast of Sweden.

Although it's a beautiful building and nicely done in places - it felt a little unloved for the price we paid. With a little more TLC from the management it could be outstanding.
Fantastic location right by the harbour. 5 min walk into the centre of the town with lots of restaurants, cafés and shops. We had a very warm welcome when we arrived.

Very friendly staff. Loved the location right by the water and yet close to the center. We had a "superior" room, it wasn't big, but comfortable.The breakfast was good, not extravagant, but very adequate.

Some wear in the bathroom, the espresso machine could use some maintenance, but those are minor details
Excellent location and clean. Good breakfast. Paid public parking including several EV chargers in front of the building. Close to the beach and the ferry to Ven island.

The beds were unbelievable bad, the mattress probably wasn't changed in years, no comfort at all. Really killed the vibe because I couldn't sleep on that thing at all.
