* My wife would have liked an additional light and mirror i.e. somewhere to put on makeup in the room which as I stated has subdued lighting. Although hanging space was provided there was no shelf/drawer unit for other clothes etc.

Staff - ultra friendly and helpful- with a keen sense of humour. Good breakfast . Private underground parking available next to hotel entrance (bookable at cost) Our room was quirky *- possibly not for everyone - but clean with little or no natural light (not named 'Troglodyte' for nothing) Nevertheless, it was on the ground floor close to reception and above all, very peaceful in a noisy 24/7 city. Hotel couple of minutes walk from a 'must visit' Lyon institution , i.e.close to 'Brasserie St George'. and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Old city close by easily walkable Metro only a couple of minutes on foot

The room was a bit small, but everything else was good. We did not eat at the hotel, so can't tell. Although there is a garage available, it is very narrow, so for larger cars this might be a problem.

The staff was super friendly, we asked for a parking garage and they responded immediately confirming availability. They also kept our luggage after check out, and explained us what to visit in the city. Also the room were very well isolated from outside noise and the beds were very comfortable.

The room was quite small. I asked for twin beds, I assumed they’d be next to each other but they were opposite each other diagonally to each other! The bed pillow was also very lumpy! The bed itself was comfortable. Air conditioning was great too.

The reception staff were fantastic. So helpful and friendly, could not fault.

The reception asks for giving in the room key to them everytime when you we leaved from the hotel. Also, there was no elevator in the hotel.

The room was a little on the small side .. one at a time to the hanging space. 1 night didn't make a huge difference.

Really nice old fashioned hotel. Great staff. Just round the corner from a station and Tram stop. Got us to the Lyon Part Dieu in less than 20 mins. Love the old wooden banister with carved lions head.

Didn’t have much tea or coffee and the cups are single use. Parking is quite expensive and incredibly difficult to get to with a bigger car.

Front hall could use a little refresh. A little bit of street noise but I didn’t mind since it is a city.

The staff was exceptional…day, night and weekends. Friendly, kind, helpful, patient. (Rare indeed) The bed and room were comfortable. I could open the windows too. Great location for the train, restaurants and short walk to all the sights.

The hotel is on a busy road, glazing eliminates traffic noise but room is stuffy. It does have AC but I presume it is just recycling the air within the room.

Its a good location, hotel car park has a steep slope so I used the adjacent main carpark which is good. Excellent breakfast, staff very helpful and friendly.

Rooms on the main road are noisy and cramped. Too small for a couple for more than one night. One power socket not working and unable to be fixed due to weekend. We were moved to better room, so no compalint.

The charming warm and professional staff make it a pleasure to stay here. Our room was in quiet courtyard so noise from the main road was not a problem. Excellent location to reach all places of interest. Nice breakfast with comfortable seating and good value choice.

The room was a bit cramped for two large suitcases, so another suitcase stand would have been helpful. Also we did report some mildewy smell on the sheets, and the manager said they had changed laundry companies recently but it was not offensive. Also seemed a bit expensive but we made the reservations late and the World Cup Rugby was in town, so understandable.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, and cut me some slack on some special requests. Like early coffee, etc.

Rook not service, shower inadequate in the disabled room acting as the triple room for standard persons, no hairdryer or free toiletries as per room description. Curtain opening device didn't work so very dark roon
