The Countryside , the peace and quiet.Room very clean with king size bed.Monique made us very welcome and provided an excellent breakfast.Monique is Dutch and so her breakfast reflects that.We would certainly stay there again.

Amazing host, unique and cosy place, friendly atmosphere, great local produce...hens, rabbits, quails, and ofcourse super soft water in shower. It was so quiet it felt like we are in the middle of nowhere.. Best stay ever, although short. Come for many days - lots to do all around

Hospitability was excellent, we enjoyed the place a lot and Monique was a great host. We were late for the check-in and she was okay and still in a great mood, we are super grateful. The place was amazing, I totally recommend it to everyone!

There's only one restaurant now open in nearby Gavray though Google shows several still open. It was a 10km drive to the nearest restaurant recommended by Monique but we had use of her guest kitchen to make meals

A quiet rural location, 1.5 hours from Cherbourg port. The best and most varied breakfast of our 2.5 week trip, including home-reared duck eggs. We had use of the kitchen for lunches or evening meals. The triple room was huge with a big shower room. There was a nice patio area overlooking the 2 goats, 2 geese, 2 ducks, 3 hens & 2 rabbits (we didn't get to see the donkey). Our host Monique was very friendly and helped us hire an e-bike from nearby Lingreville (Velo Emeraude which operates in several local towns). We had a lovely scenic bike ride north up the coast and back through pretty villages.

Close to Gavray and not far from a gorgeous beach with plenty of restaurant choices. Breakfast was lovely, there was plenty laid out & we could make more if we wanted. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nothing all very good.

The whole experience. Had good weather so sat out with drinks and spent a couple of hours watching all the animals. Breakfast was excellent with all the local condiments and especially the salted butter.

When you feel well somewhere, is not leaving more difficult? ;-)

Monique's hospitality was exceptional, a real treat. The accommodation was comfy. Located in the countryside, it was been very calm, and thanks to Monique's love for animals and nature there were hens, goats, rabbits, quails - it was a great pleasure for the children to meet them. Our little puppy was also interested in the local fauna - and was welcome here. :) In April the area was beautiful with the primroses blooming on the meadows. Monique also helped with ideas for excursions - Mont Saint-Michel, Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg with submarine Le Redoutable and an exhibition on the Titanic and aquariums, a beautiful hike at Nez de Joubourg at Cap de La Hague. The welcome was incredibly friendly - Monique is a cheerful, chatty, warm and welcoming host. The facilities were exceptional - a kitchen at your disposal if you want to cook. The room was extremely clean and comfortable as well as spacious. The surroundings are very rural but this adds to the charm. It is a most relaxing place, with the chickens, goats and other animals out in the field in front. All in all a very pleasant stopover- I was just sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

Beautiful and cozy place to stay, with personal touch. Surrounded by nature. Kids really liked the goats, hens, gooses and bunnies in the garden. Nice room, exactly like on photos. Comfortable kitchen, option to use it, as well of great variety of teas. Very delicious breakfast with a good variety of choices. Thank you!

a little out of the way.

beautiful spacious family bedroom with plenty of room for a a family of 4 and even 5. Large bathroom. Very clean. Good communal kitchen. Lovely breakfast with great homemade jams. Well worth the visit. Very welcoming and friendly.

Excellent breakfast, with delicious homemade yoghurts & jams, eggs laid by the hens on site, local butter, lots of choice & perfect unlimited coffee. Fantastic warm welcome. Gavray very close with all amenities. Large room with wide comfortable bed, great bathroom. Quiet. Wifi & shower worked well. Tea & coffee always available in the kitchen. Opportunity to sit out on the terrace, eat dinner (kitchen available onsite) & watch the shooting stars. Thank you so much Monique & family, we will be back.

Great for a stopover on our drive back to Cherbourg for the ferry. A great breath of fresh air for our children, who loved the animals in the garden, swings and toys. The family room was very comfortable and a good size for the price. There didn't seem to be a huge amount to do in the area but we were able to get a nice takeaway pizza to eat in the garden at the guesthouse. We had a very friendly welcome and a lovely breakfast.

Everything was quite good, Only suggestion I can give is that maybe add a fan or air conditioner for hot weather.

Clean place in nature, very cosy place. Friendly and helpful host. Garden an the animals.
