Nothing. All was more than perfect.

I always try to stay in B&B when I travel with my motorbike and, most of the times, I do an “intense” search in order to find the best possible place to stay.

This time i was traveling north from Spain into France and, after looking for a very nice place in a new route and region, I found a jewel. I arrived to Melanie's place around 16h30, after a long and hot day. It is located 4 kms from a small village called Vielle-Soubiran. And then, I found the Domaine de Lugazaut; I was impressed. It comprises of a very big property with a big house from 1912, having large rooms with high ceilings. It is decorated with an exquisite taste; everything I was looking at was old, but everything was working perfectly; amazing. My room was big, with a 1.5m bed, a new bathroom, and a place to stay, with a bureau and a fireplace. All was very clean, and once more, exquisitely decorated. I entered the property and parked the bike at the garage, next to the chicken and the horses. Incredible. After a couple of beers, Melanie served me a fantastic dinner composed of a tomato soup, from her last tomatoes she had from her garden, and then a chicken with jamon which she steamed, together with some potatoes cooked in white wine, and some morilles or champignons. I did not reach the dessert, but the dinner was really good. She also cooked the bread which was fantastic. The following morning, Melanie prepared a corn bread, that she cooked a bit before, together with a yogurt done by her, together with different jams that she also prepared. She also had some figs from her tree and also some apricots, all from her garden, 
What else can you have?
 She was very nice, had a good chat with her in Spanish, and I had a really nice time at the Domain, 
I will definitely go to this jewel again, as it makes the trip different. I do not tell you the prices, as for this you need to look into her website. Really good !

Other travelers should be aware that this area is quiet and a fair distance from other amenities or restaurants. One of the reasons that Melanie's dinners were so welcome.

The host, Melanie, was excellent. Throughout my stay, she was responsive, communicative, supportive and very easy to interact with. She is a fantastic cook. Her dinners were tasty, interesting and satisfying. The room was terrific with a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. As a bonus, there was also a sauna (in a shared space) which I appreciated after a long day biking.

Loved my stay here. it’s a beautiful house, fully renovated, huge comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated, totally modern bathroom. Run by a young family who went out of their way to fulfil all my needs and wishes. Excellent, fresh, homemade food served at dinner and breakfast. it was very hard to leave. Many thanks for your exceptional hospitality.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Melanie and her young family (and their dog) made us feel instantly at home. She made us a fantastic salad supper, and breakfast next morning was exceptional, in both cases beautifully prepared and using local produce wherever possible. A gorgeous house set in spacious grounds, with Melanie's brother's craft brewery just next door - and his products available to sample, of course! Greatly recommended.

An absolute gem, staying at Melanie's place. Such a wonderful, charming manor house in a beautiful, nature location. The owner and host Melanie is extremely welcoming and friendly and offers a fantastic homemade breakfast, which is among the best we ever had! The grounds are extensive and very private and you can walk around, visit the various animals or just take it easy and relax under a tree in the shade and enjoy the quiet beautiful surroundings. What a place to stay in a beautiful part of France!

Stunning property and amazing host, amazing peaceful location.we arrived wet, our host Melanie and her family welcomed us and arranged for us to park our motorbikes in their barn- garage. Our rooms All renovated and beautiful we’re awaiting us. We opted for dinner and we were served a feast home made baking and cooking at its best.truly memorable stay.
