Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great little apartment in a very central location. The property is a good size and the kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions promptly.

United KingdomStaff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Rooms were all filthy when we arrived and we had to complain to request a clean. Dirty used towels in cupboards, mud in the showers amongst other things. Several of us had allergic reactions to the dustiness of the beds. It was fine after the clean, but not exactly spotless. All descriptions were misleading and unclear. On booking.com it was described as having a double bed. This was a sofa bed in the main room. It had to be taken down and rebuilt each day as there was so little room in the flats. There also is no real separate room with a bunk bed, it's just in the entry corridor. Studios are all very small. Photos included several pics of other rooms that are definitely not available. There were so many photos of different flats it was basically impossible to work out what was going on. It turned out that the flat was smaller than we could have possibly imagined. It was a squeeze with just 3 per flat. The idea of having 4 people in each flat is laughable. It was also unbelievably hot in the flats. We never had the heating on at any point. We had to choose each night between having the balcony doors open and letting bugs and noise in, or boiling alive. There are no windows in the flat.
Location was great, right next to the lift, 30 second walk. That's about it.

The pictures in the advert are generous in their description and not reflective of the actual apartment. There is no manned reception to assist with problems after moving in. Based on this experience I would not use Booking.com again which is shame as it has been really good to me over the years.

easy all round place to stay just what you need for skiing, to be honest the town is a bit grey and dull but if you like ski back for a bit of tea and cake rest quick bite local early night and ski all day again this is a first class place to do this, could not fault it

FranceWhere do I start…. The car park was inadequate for the number of cars! The appartements were extremely dirty! The equipment in the kitchen was of very bad quality! Broken salad dryer, frying pan was not flat. The shower in the 206 was broken and hardly any pressure. Tile missing too. The sink in the 206 kitchen was minuscule! The bed in the 207 was broken and the lovely lady told me the technician was on holiday! The agency offered an alternative to the appartements - we visited them - it was a firm NO! We then exchanged the bed ourselves! The beds/pillows were NOT provided with clean protections!!! OMG the car/dog hairs insane! I will stop there because my blood is still boiling!
