Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe really enjoyed our stay, if I really need to point out something we didn't like, one morning we woke up a little later (9am) and we went for breakfast (served until 10) and eggs, cheese and some other things were not served. I have to add that on the other days all the food was present in the stations, and it was constantly refilled when running out.
The hotel is nested in a great location, with two station of the Métro at walking distance (Passy and Trocadero). The room was quiet, tidy and clean. The bed comfortable and the staff friendly. The sorrounding area is also lovely, with a supermarket right in front of the hotel and several shops. We enjoyed our stay.

FranceThe spiral, narrow staircase leading up to the room, consisting of two flights of stairs, was difficult to go up and down carrying proper suitcases. This, in our opinion, was unfortunate, since the hotel was really lovely and in a good, quiet location.
Breakfast had a good choice. For a Parisien hotel the room was a good size. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful location, set back from the street, and the hotel was especially clean during these most difficult times. Great area of Paris.

My room was clean but so close to the room in front of mine that every time he was using the bathroom I was hearing the bathroom facility sounds :/ a bit disgusting.

United StatesThe only thing I found a little difficult was getting in & out of the tub for showers since the side of the tub is a little high. Definitely not a show-stopper just a little odd.
The location of this hidden gem is excellent! I felt very safe & appreciated that I could step outside into the lovely neighborhood of Passy & that it was easy to get anywhere else I wanted to go. The staff was very nice & the room always clean. The inclusion of a simple breakfast was much appreciated.
