Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FrancePillows too hard. Bathroom layout (door almost touching wc & sink when opening inwards.) Staff (owner?) lacking in hospitality & honesty. Staff added breakfast charges to my invoice, which I had clearly said upon check-in that my family wouldn't be taking. Good thing I asked for an invoice and noticed. (I had offered to settle my room charges upon check-in but was told to pay upon check-out.) Was charged for taxe de sejour for kids, which I read thereafter on the French government website (Service-Public.fr) is not applicable for kids under 18 years old. Staff said it's only 0.90€ when I queried, so I let it drop, but imagine the amount if it had been a 1 week stay with 3 kids.) As mentioned in some previous reviews, don't expect a friendly welcome. (I didn't read the negative reviews before booking and hence wasn't mentally prepared for the cold reception. The dogs were friendly though.)
Great view from the bedroom balcony on the 2nd floor. Pleasantly surprised by the room, which felt better in person, compared to the photos of the bed covered in old-fashioned bedspreads.

ItalyThe room was very fresh but the bathroom was really really small and very hot because no fan available.
The hotel is very well located and really easy to reach, close to main sites of the area and to autoroute A8. The breakfast is very special and nice in a large hall with two sweet dogs very polite and definitively adorable. The food is amazing: fresh fruit, croissants, pain au chocolate, home made orange marmalade and a salted choice, too. Each room has a private balcony with a dining table, but many ants, so pay attention. Free parking available and the owner is special: nice, always smiling and extremely polite.

FranceIt is a little bit far from the village; a car would be necessary to go in and out. You are in the south and it's June so beware mosquitoes.

FranceEverything was just fine.
Everything was great for our one-night stopover. The hotel is easy to find, just before the village of Tourettes-sur-Loup. The room was functional and very clean, with a modern bathroom and accessible parking. The hotel was quiet and toiletries were provided in the room.

United StatesThe shower curtain needs to be replaced. And it is almost impossible to take a shower using a shower head hanging on the wall.
The hosts were so kind and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. The view was also great. And the room was well organized and clean.

United KingdomSome hot food choices at breakfast would be good , but breakfast was enjoyable .
The hotel is reasonably priced , very well run and spotless. Breakfast was a full continental range . No eggs or hot dish tho . The evening meal we had was delicious and very good value . The rooms are small , but adequate , with balconies overlooking the sea in the distance . Plenty of hot water for showers . The hotel is a couple of kilometres from Tourette’s and on a very busy road with no footpath .. so a car is essential . A good location to tour the surrounding area from .

United KingdomCan't be helped but location makes it impossible to take a dog for a walk without driving elsewhere, though there is a terraced area of garden which is useful; otherwise a car trip required. Dinner menu quite large but execution hit and miss,
Lovely town nearby, good views from the hotel toward the coast, helpful pleasant hosts. Breakfast was perfectly good. Good room and en suite, and wifi.
