Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomLike many French hotels no tea or coffee making facilities in the room - but the coffee machine downstairs was available.
Our double room was well furnished, spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable - we both had an excellent night's sleep. The evening dinner was excellent, limited choice but the food was freshly prepared from local produce. Breakfast was a self service buffet with unlimited supply of very fresh croissants and pastries.

We were so impressed. Staff lovely friendly and helpful. We are disabled and there was a wheelchair lift. We got a disabled friendly room, with gorgeous shower. Restaurant outstanding. Food superb and worth driving to eat there! Staff waiting really great too.

SwitzerlandThere was not a lot of space in our room, which was completely understandable though, as they had to put in a third bed into a room which would normally only be a double room I assume.
The hotel is very easy to find and features great parking, which is always quite important if you are travelling by car. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The best thing for me was the delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant in the evening. I highly appreciated it that we did not have to go out and find a restaurant for once. The hotel was ideally located for our hike in the famous Chaîne des Puys the next day too! :-D

FranceThe service in the restaurant was very rushed! The entrée arrived well before we had finished our aperitif. The staff were very busy and they served our courses in a hurry. We like to take our time over our evening meal and it felt rushed.
