Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Amazing relaxing property in a rural setting. Although we didn’t make use of the pool, it looked fantastic. The hosts were very friendly even with the language barrier and the breakfast was stunning. The dogs were beautiful and it was lovely to stay somewhere that was so homely.

United KingdomAll the rooms had shower heads that were handheld, so it was tricky to have a really good shower. I'm not sure why they have done this - perhaps to encourage people to take shorter showers. Also, some rooms were up lots of tight stairs, so bear in mind if you are hard of walking. Other than that, no negative comments.
This lovely little hotel is just outside of Beziers, with a great view of the cathedral from most bedrooms. It's a slightly rural setting, with it's own little pet farm which is charmingly French. We used the hotel as a base for exploring the north of Spain, Carcassone, Arles and Marseilles for the rugby world cup, so weren't in the hotel really during the day, which meant that we didn't get a chance to use lovely pool. Breakfast was continental style and served to the table, and was really tasty. In the evenings before/after dinner, we enjoyed a bottle of the hotel's red wine (not much choice, but it was lovely) out on the terrace taking in the views and the sounds of goats, pigs and chickens. Rooms were unique, big and pretty comfy. Air con worked really well. As long as you know what to expect, you will love this place. But its not a town centre modern hotel!

CanadaThe breakfast was delicious, and served outside in the garden, where you could also sit in the afternoons or evenings with a glass of local wine, watching the goats and the pig and the sheep, and playing with the cats! Rooms were charming, as were the hosts. Very attentive and gracious. A little far out of Beziers - about a 30-minute walk - but quite a nice walk in for dinner. Quiet, delightful place. Highly recommended.

United KingdomNot a disadvantage for us as we love walking, but if you don't have a car heads up it is a walk from the train station! (30 mins) But there are buses you can take and of course taxis.
- Incredible breakfast! - Although a walk into Beziers, personally loved the location. It was peaceful and had a stunning outlook overlooking the city. Also lovely animals such as goats, birds, cats! - Lovely host, let us into our room early! - The pool was stunning

United KingdomWe couldn’t find the property, it was about 9.30pm and dark when we arrived and we hadn’t been given the house number. I phoned Pierre and he gave us the house number and very kindly offered to meet us nearby, which wasn’t necessary.
Lovely clean and comfortable property in a rural location just outside Beziers with a huge garden, great view of the cathedral, swimming pool and lots of animals in the adjoining field. Breakfast served in the shady garden. The owner Pierre was very friendly and helpful.

AustriaThe bathroom and toilet were not separated with a door. Even couples need some privacy sometimes. The property is outside of the town center , sort of in the fields. If you plan to go to the town, and you should, it is lovely, take your own car; there are hardly any taxis available if you want to return after dark
It is a lovely, (non-mainstream) place with a huge garden and many animals. We loved watching the animals (goats, a pig, geese, ducks, white pigeons etc) and their interactions. Great view of the cathedral! The breakfast was delicious with home made pastries

What an amazing find! A fantastic property with a lovely garden and private swimming pool on the edge of Beziers. The owners were superb and couldn’t be more helpful, another couple (not in our party) were held up with traffic and arrived late evening so they made them a meal - excellent service ! The breakfast was excellent in a truly stunning setting looking out at the Cathedral, with animals roaming in the field at the bottom of the garden. I was hesitant to post this review as it may make the property even more popular and make it harder for us to book again 😃 We can’t wait until we can stay again and explore more of Beziers and the surrounding areas - you must stay here 😃
