This beautiful country hotel with colorful plants and flowers in a large garden were very attractive in addition to the huge pool with chairs and tables for relaxation. The breakfast was delicious, and their library was a relaxing area to sit in and converse with friends. The staff members were always ready to assist us in any situation. If you are looking for tranquility and relaxation, then Les Messugues welcomes you with open arms. :)

Nothing it was all wonderful.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay, all the staff were really kind and helpful, especially Natalie who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and valued, nothing was to much trouble for her, she even gave us directions to some amazing places to visit. The room was very comfortable and our balcony had some beautiful views across the olive groves, the grounds and pool were so relaxing. The whole stay was just perfect, St Paul de Vence was just a short distance away by car, which was a real bonus.

There were three minor disappointments. The first is that it is an expensive taxi ride to get to the hotel whether coming from the airport or from the Cagnes-sur-Mer train station (about 50 Euros). Second, the room I was given in the upstairs annex had no WiFi reception (this was remedied during my second stay by putting me in a downstairs room closer to reception). And, third, though I visited in late April, the swimming pool temperature was 17C - too cold to really be of use.

This traditional French hotel has an interior, quiet charm and elegance, and is surrounded by a pool and lovely gardens. I was warmly welcomed by Virginia and made to feel very special. Quiet at night, close to the medieval walls of Saint Paul de Vence, spotlessly clean and comfortable, it is a delightful property for single travellers and couples. I enjoyed it so much I stayed there twice.

Mattress was too firm for me.

This is a jewel of an Inn in a beautiful, quiet setting. The owner is a lovely lady - third generation in her family and great host. Her assistant - which sadly I cannot recall her name was so warm and welcoming and enthusiatic to share local sightseeing ideas. Loved all the common area interiors and the bedroom - all very charming. The pool area is fantastic and would be reason alone to stay here in warmer months. The breakfast selection was extensive and wonderful.

I wish they have the bakery.

They are choices of healthy home made breakfast and home made pain perdu,bake fruits was my favourite.my kids enjoyed the breakfast very much and the lady that worked there she made delicious scramble eggs for us.the view was exceptional quite by the olives groves.

The only part I rated a little lower was the size of the room. And this goes for our room only, the room with the kitchen, which we found quite small for our needs. We did see some of the other rooms in the main building which were quite spacious, so again can only speak to ours here.

The hospitality and care you get to experience here us exceptional! Kind and hardworking team that will make sure you feel well accommodated and happy.

An amazing place. Tons of charm and beauty, fun and super accommodating staff, super clean room and luxurious bathroom. Sumptuous breakfast served in beautiful solarium looking out onto olive Grove. Top notch!!

Unfortunately the restaurant was not open yet when we stayed there.

We stayed here one night in March. It was the first day that they opened for the season. It is a great hotel with a beautiful garden. We had an amazing breakfast watching the olive trees next door. It is run by lovely women. We will definitely go back there again!

Very charming place (outdoor and indoor). personal service and amazing staff. The pool and the pool area was a big plus.

No shower curtain and no privacy curtain in bathroom window was a little strange.

The location was peaceful and quiet, the reception manager was so kind, friendly and warm. the room was very nice.

Very nice breakfast with all kinds of local food, freshly made and tasty. Location is a little bit far from old town, but ok with driving, the property is very pretty and quiet.

The uphill walk back from St Paul was a killer and taxis were scarce and expensive, not recommended for the unfit or people with mobility issues.

Everything was great during our four-day stay - the room, the lagoon pool, the restaurant food and the friendly and efficient staff. They even arranged sunny Autumn weather!

Amazingly relaxing with fab facilities and outlook, particularly after a few days in Nice in mediocre hotels. the lovely pool with plenty of quiet places to lie, the excellent dinner and refreshments available at all times. Lady owner worked hard to ensure all guests were happy.

We would have liked to have had complementary tea and coffee facilities in our room rather than visit the central 'honesty bar' and then have to pay for it. There were no dressing gowns provided so guests had to get fully dressed just to get a morning coffee or glass of water. We would have like to have a mini fridge in our room to keep water cold, there was never any ice available to cool drinks down. The food at the restaurant was too pricey, a plate of ham and melon was 12 euro, a main course around 30 euro, too much for a hotel that charges £130 a night, the food bill could easily match that, more if you pop the cheapest bottle of wine on top (30 euro). I would recommend this hotel but I think they need to address the food and drink prices because there are amazing, characterful eateries just down in the village with a wonderful choice of food for a reasonable price.

We loved our airy room with a large en suite. The hotel has a small number of rooms and is well appointed with a good breakfast and wonderful pool area. The location was amazing, just above St Paul de Vence, a beautiful town. The pool was clean, plenty of loungers available, no having to bagsie a bed! The towels were huge and there were lovely shady areas in the garden which was well looked after with beautiful planters and trees. A truly tranquil spot. Rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

We loved everything.

Location was idyllic and private, even though it is very close to the town. The pool was great. The room was very comfortable, with a view of an olive grove from our terrace. The staff was amazing, everyone was so helpful and pleasant, and the breakfast was superb.
